our history and our lives today.
STAFF - Miss Good is at the Ostrom’s home (Bryce Mt, VA) this weekend for the youth ski trip.
ABOUT THE GOSPEL TRAVELERS - Decades ago, a group of men would sing on the bus as they
traveled to Baltimore on Sunday mornings to play football. In 1977, five of them (Jim Edwards,
Jack Jackson, Al Johnson, Gerald Parker and Joseph Parker) started this a cappella singing
troupe. Richard Naylor later joined as well as Alan Drew and John Pickett. Singing engagements
have included the Washington DC Folk Festival, the Star Spangled Banner Celebration at Anne
Arundel Community College, and The Light House Shelter Food Drive. Today the group enjoys
spreading God’s word through their singing ministry. Founding member, Al Johnson, has served
as our Building Supervisor for 20+ years. He is also a member of the Fowler Men Chorus and a
church choir. Welcome Al and the Travelers!
ELIZABETH “BETTY” BOLANDER - church member and mother of Betsy Jenkins, died on January
11. Services to be announced.
