Calling all Scientists . . .
Are you a “mad scientist” or of an inquisitive nature? Do you like to perform amazing
experiments, answer perplexing questions, and delve into the scientific method?
Then come join us for the Emerald Heights P.T.A. Science Showcase, Thursday, March 23,
2017 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Registration is required. All science experiment entries must conform to the Rules and
Regulations guidelines (http://bit.ly/2l38p89). Teams are permitted at the showcase. Awards
and refreshments provided by your Emerald Heights PTA. Enter a drawing for prizes from Bella
Bella Cupcakes, STARBUCKS (10516 Silverdale Way, Silverdale), and our PTA funded pizza party.
Remember that this event is to showcase your talents and interest in the field of science so

Montessori Program, Grades K-5
Parent Information Night Thursday, March 2nd, 6:00-7:00 PM
The Central Kitsap School District Montessori Program will hold its annual Parent
Information Night on Thursday, March 2nd in the Hawk Elementary Multi-Purpose
Room. Attendance at a Parent Information Night is a primary step in the application
process. All parents and community members interested in learning more about this
program are invited to attend. The presentation will include information about the
Montessori philosophy, the curriculum, the prepared learning environment offered to
children, and guidelines for parent involvement. Applications for program entrance in
September, 2017 will be available following the meeting. Applications are due in the
office at Hawk Elementary at Jackson Park on March 30th. If you are unable to
attend the meeting you may go to www.CKMPA.org and print off the application. For

Come learn the basics of Robotics in this fun and exciting after school program. The club starts

What: Learning and demonstrating the fundamentals of Baseball
When: Tuesday, April 4th (CKSD Spring Break)
Where: Kitsap County Fairgrounds Baseball Complex or Olympic High School
Gymnasium if inclement weather
Fee: $35 (if registration received prior to day of the clinic)
