Happy Halloween!
Dear Families
We are all very excited about the year getting off to a great start! The children have
settled in nicely and the fun and learning have begun. With the days becoming cooler and
the leaves changing colour, this new month the children will be learning all about Weather,
Harvest, The Jungle, Thanksgiving, as well as our favourite holiday, Halloween!
Three Year
Old Program
The children will begin this month
talking all about “Fall,” what it is
and what our city will look like
when the cool air blows. They will
also be focusing on the things they
are thankful for. I know how we all
have

Halloween. Our special colour this
month will be “Orange”! On
October 13th please dress your

treat bags; if you would like to
send in something for your child’s
class please do so on or before
October 20th, and please
remember we are “Nut Free”,
thank you! With all the fun crafts
and games we will be having a
“frightfully” good time!
Modified Four Year Old
Program
This month the children will be
focusing on “Harvest”, what is it
and what kinds of food do we
harvest, as well as Thanksgiving,
and of course Halloween! The
letters the children will be working
on are D, E and F. Our special
colour this month will be
“Orange”, on October 13th please
dress your child in Orange! We
will also be talking about what we
are thankful for, and what
Thanksgiving means to us! Closer
to the end of the month we will be
getting creative with Halloween!
On the 27th we will be having our Halloween party where your child can
come to school dressed as their favourite character! It should be a
“ghoulish” good time! We will also be filling treat bags; if you would
like to send in something for your child’s class please do so on or before
October 20th, and please remember we are “Nut Free” thank you!

Monday, October the 3rd and
Tuesday, October the 4th.

Thanksgiving
On October the 10th Green Door will
be closed for Thanksgiving. We wish
you a wonderful holiday with your
families!
Halloween Parties!
On October the 27th and 28th we will
be having our Halloween Parties at
school! We are looking forward to
seeing the children in their Halloween
costumes! Please remember to send
“Nut Free” items to your child’s class
on or before October 20th and 21st.
Also please note the classes on the
days of the Halloween parties will be
shortened to 1 1/2 hours, to allow the
teachers to set up for the next party.
We will also be looking for parent
volunteers. Sign up sheets and more
info will be posted soon at the schools!
Indoor shoes
Please remember to send indoor shoes
to the school everyday with your child.

Nut Free
Please remember that we are a nut
free school. We will not be serving
anything in a package that says may
contain nuts. Please be sure to check
the labels before sending snack to
school.
