In today’s society, some of the children don’t know what the meaning of
self-effacement is. Sometimes I ask myself what self-effacing means and
how to be a humble person.
What does self-effacement mean? I think self-effacement means a person
who is not proud of themselves easily and is always friendly to everyone.
In addition, they will reflect on what they have done and be willing to
listen to other’s opinions to better themselves.
Moreover, I think self-effacement is important to us. It is as important as
sugar. When we are cooking, we can put some sugar to make the dish
taste better. Sugar is just like humility. If we are humble, it can make our
interpersonal relationship better. Also, we can get more recognition from
others. Actually, being humble is not as easy as we think. Although a
person who is humble does not mean that they never fail, a person who is
not humble is doomed to fail. As long as we remain sincere to others,
some of them will appreciate you.
