Directions from Winter Gardens: Straight down Church Street to King Street (Syndicate on corner), turn left onto
King Street, then take the first right onto Milbourne Street, on the left hand side, only five minutes walk. Directions
from Bus Station: Hop Inn on the corner, continue down Cookson Street, take the second left onto Milbourne Street
and straight on, three minutes walk.
Fantastic venue, cheap beer/drink, Mary’s Kitchen will be open all day serving hot and cold food all
day at workingmens’ prices. Sunday afternoon, entertainment and top comedian, all welcome.

Derek will have for sale 60 lots of mature 2009 birds from the above families. Being very friendly with Bertus & Annie Camphuis over many years, he has
their very best having purchased pigeons from all of the stock birds and top race birds. Some of Bert’s champions have ended their days at Derek’s lofts
being gifted to Derek. The Camphuis pigeons have won for him and his many friends for the past 10 years at Club and Fed level

from Gwen, three full brothers to
Angel (Angel recently sold for 3,700
euros). Plus pigeons from Cocktail,
‘048’, Golden Eye, Blue Crack, Spike,
Marvita, Demi, Het Chateaurouxtje,
De Super Crack, and many more
direct top pigeons. There will be
approximately 30 from the direct
van de Merwe stock with many of
the much-sought-after blacks.

Red Saartje. These pigeons
have won for me from
the word go, kept together
and crossed with
my Camphuis pigeons.
Over the years Derek has put up some superb racing performances in the West Coast Federation taking first 11, first 9,
first 8 positions etc. in the Federation. The above pigeons are still producing winners at top level for Derek and his friends.
Derek has had another good season in 2009 with the inland racing (60 to 230 miles) with his old and young bird teams.
It is well known Derek specialises in Inland racing, 60-230 miles, with performances e.g. first 11, first 10, first 9 in the
Federation etc. 2008: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th Fed, 1,742 birds; 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th and 17th Fed,
1,528 birds. 2009 was another good season, topping the West Coast Fed and taking multiple positions again.
MR PRICE FROM NORTH WALES has purchased pigeons from Derek’s last two sales, winning out of turn with them:
3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th and 12th Welsh South-East National; 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Fed; 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Fed; 10 x 1st
Clubs etc, flying the Bertus Camphuis and Peter van de Merwe pigeons.
TONY HEATH FROM GRAYS IN ESSEX has had a super young bird season with Derek’s Camphuis pigeons flying in
the North Thames Eastern Counties, gaining 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th several times.
