How To Attach The Hair
1. Locate your yellow smooth yarn and cut 28 11”/30 cm pieces.
2. You will need 13 pieces for the front and 15 pieces for the back.
3. Arrange 13 pieces evenly and lay across the center of the forehead directly under the hat.
4. Thread yellow yarn onto your plastic needle. Pass the needle through the
forehead behind the center of the yellow hair. Tie a double knot around the hair
to gather it and anchor it to the head.
5. Turn the doll over. Lay out 15 pieces of yarn across the back of the head. Tie a
knot at the bottom using your yellow yarn and plastic needle. Attach the yellow yarn in
groups of four to the center of the back of the head, as shown in illustration. You
will make four separate knots the same way you did on the front. Make a double
knot when complete.
6. Make into two side pony tails, as shown in illustration and tie pony tails with pink yarn.
7. Trim ends to be even.

Diagram A Large Flower
1. Select felt flowers and layer the small one on top of the large one.
2. Put a sequin in the center on top of the flowers.
3. Put a bead in the center of the sequin.
4. Using your sewing needle and thread, pass the needle from the back
of the flower through to the front. Put the needle through the hole in
the sequin and then the hole in the bead.
5. Pass the needle back through the hole in the sequin, through to the
back of the flower.
6. Do this two or three times and knot at the back of the flower.
7. Sew flowers onto the doll’s hat and sweater .
8. Tie a bow around the waist like a belt using pink yarn.
9. Write your name on the label and sew to the back of skirt (Diagram G).

needle and thread, make wide stitches as illustrated. When you
have stitched all the way around, put the skirt on the doll and pull the thread tightly until the top cinches. This functions as
the skirts drawstring. Sew loose stitches around the dolls waist, stitching the skirt directly onto the doll (Diagram E).

Adult supervision recommended.

How To Attach The Skirt
1. Locate the rectangle of fabric.
2. Using your sewing needle and thread, create a hem on one long end
of the fabric. This will be the bottom of the skirt. To do this, fold
over the long edge a little bit from front to back. Stitch down using wide
stitches. (Diagram A).
3. Fold the fabric in half so that the printed side faces inside. Match up
the short ends and stitch the entire short length together. (Diagram B). Diagram C
4. Turn the sewn fabric inside out so that the printed side faces out
(Diagram C).

Helpful Hints
1. If yarn becomes stuck on top of needle, push to release.
2. Do not turn the crank handle to hard to too fast, as this may damage the machine.
3. You must maintain proper tension on the yarn through the tension piece, otherwise you may drop a stitch.
4. When starting out, be sure that the yarn is fed through the notch in the feeder.
5. Do not use yarn that is textured or lumpy. Smooth yarn works best.
6. One line of a tube = 5 1/2 rotations of the handle. You can mark the top of one hook with a permanent
marker (with adult supervision) to indicate a complete rotation.
7. As you turn the handle, pull out your knitted piece from underneath. Watch out for twisting.

To Make Your Dolls Arms
Helpful Hint: Your Knitting Machine knits approximately 6 rows per inch.
Set your Knitting Machine for making tubes, by putting the switch in the down position.
To Make Your Doll
Practice Before You Start
Diagram B
Place the unit on a flat table and put the switch in the down position,
which is the setting for making a tube. Thread the Knitting Machine for
making a tube. Instructions for this are in the manual that came with
your Knitting Machine. Leave excess yarn at the beginning and end of
each tube, about 12” (30cm).
Diagram A
Start by making a multi-colored tube:
Diagram C
Diagram D
Diagram E
Diagram F
1. Load the machine as if you were making a tube and knit 12 rows (2"/5 cm)
rows using pink eyelash yarn. This section will be your dolls hat.
2. It is helpful when counting rows to mark your first needle on the machine
with a dot using a permanent marker (not included). (See Diagram A).
3. After you knit 12 rows, change yarn color to cream. To change colors,
cut the pink yarn and tie on the cream yarn in a tight knot (See Diagram B). Knit slowly and carefully until the Diagram G
Open Top
knot has made a complete rotation. Continue to knit. The cream yarn will be your dolls face.

Cream 12 Rows
4. Change yarn colors back to eyelash pink yarn and knit 30 rows (5"/13 cm). This will be your dolls body.
5. Finish your tube by following the directions that came with your Knitting Machine instruction manual,
Pink 30 Rows
using the plastic needle to secure the top end and remove from the Knitting Machine. Tighten and cinch
the bottom end of the tube (body) to close the opening. (See Diagram C, D, E, and F).
6. Leave the top end of the tube open. (See Diagram G).
To Section And Stuff Your Doll
Diagram A
1. Fill the tube with stuffing. Stuff from top to bottom so that the tube resembles a
large sausage shape. Arrange the stuffing so that the shapes are not lumpy and
they resemble a body and face shape. Do not stuff the hat section. Make the face
section round. (Diagram A).
2. Take a piece of pink eyelash yarn and thread it onto your plastic needle. Weave
the yarn loosely around the bottom of the pink hat. When you are done, pull tight
and tie a knot. You will have closed off the tube at the top of the face, leaving the
hat loose. (Diagram B).
3. Take a piece of cream colored yarn and thread onto the plastic needle. Weave it
loosely around the tube at the bottom of the cream colored section, the doll’s
face. Pull together but not too tightly to make a neck, tie and knot. This
separates the dolls head from the pink section. (Diagram C).

How To Make The Hat
1. Slide and flatten the top pink section down
around the face of the doll until it forms a cap
on top of the head.
2. Using your plastic needle and pink yarn, sew the
hat to the head all the way around so that it fits
tightly. (See Diagram A, B and C)

into the sleeve (pink) section so that it’s fatter . You will now have a tube for the
first arm. (Diagram D).
4. When you are finished, make the other arm.
5. Using your plastic needle and pink eyelash yarn, attach the top of each arm to the
shoulder of the doll. (Diagram E).
1. Using your plastic needle and black yarn, sew a stitch onto the face in the eye position and
tie a knot. Sew 3 stitches in a round shape (see illustration), to make an eye and knot.
