Lap Swim Information (Summer Only)
Description and Requirements: This program offered at the Munster High School Aquatic Center/Jon Jepsen Pool
(I Entrance). The pool will only be open for 50 meter (long course) lap swimming. Also, water exercise such as
water running, water aerobics, etc. for physical fitness purposes is available. The diving well and boards are closed
at this time. Also, there is no play area for children. Children should only attend if old enough and strong enough to
swim laps, and children under the age of 14 should be accompanied by a parent. Open Swim and fun family
time/play opportunities should consider the Munster Community Outdoor Pool with Parks and Recreation.
Time and Cost: 1:00-3:00 pm

General Admission
Children (Under 14)/Adults: $4.00
Families: $10.00
*all School Town of Munster employees and their families are free

Days: Mondays thru Thursdays
General Pool Rules
1. All children under the age of 14 should be accompanied by a parent.
2. No food, drink, or glass materials are allowed.
3. No running on the pool deck, locker room areas, or hallways.
4. No diving in water that is 5 feet or less in depth.
5. The bulkheads, starting blocks, and lane lines are off limits. No playing/horseplay, etc. on or under
these.
*We will have our chair/lift available to help individuals both into and out of the water if needed. Add rental
