Jennine Parker is passionate about
sculpture. This passion originates in her
fascination with the human form.
Jennine says:
Drawing and sculpting male
and female figures goes back
centuries to when we first
discovered the rewards of
capturing the living world around
us, and I find the history, culture
and artistry of the form gives me
all the inspiration I need - the
concept of male and female so
different, but one and the same.
Drawing a live model is an
extremely important part of my
work; the sketches do not have to
be perfect as you can capture so
much of the way the body moves,
and the shapes, forms and lines it
creates. These quick, expressive
sketches often mark the first stage
on my creative path.
