Dr. Michele Claudette Reed Press Kit AskDrMichele.com Dr. Michele Claudette Reed Dr. Michele Claudette Reed is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and a Managing Partner of MS Family Medicine Health Care, P.C. with medical offices in Queens and Long Island, New York. Dr. Reed serves as the Medical Director for The Congregational Church of South Hempstead and the School District Physician for the Hempstead, Malverne and Roosevelt School Districts. She was recently appointed as a spring 2014 Fellow to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT under the Department of Health and Human Services. Since the tender age of four, Dr. Reed knew that she would one day be a doctor and has worked to make tremendous strides for her community as an advocate for overall wellness and the prevention of chronic diseases. In 2009, Dr. Reed co-founded First Things First, Foundation for Health and Wellness, Inc., along with Sepia Owens-Villas, MPA, a not for profit that deals with health education and disease prevention. The two also started The Girls Mentoring Program in partnership with the Lakeview Public Library, a program for young girls that explores topics about health, education and community service. Dr. Reed is often called upon to speak on the matters of wellness and prevention.
