Medical terminology is the language of medicine. The importance of medical terminology
is the basis of communication used by doctors, nurses, health care providers, medical
transcriptionists, medical office staff, medical billers and more.
This course will focus on medical language as it applies to the human body system.
You will be given an overview of each body system and learn how medical words are
formed. Learning the rules of word formation will allow you to build and understand
new words. This course can be an introduction to a career in any health profession
especially nursing, medical assisting, medical transcription, radiology, medical
terminology and respiratory therapy.
