Hispanic Artist Webquest Señora Dunn Hispanic Artist Game Webquest Introduction Your class is taking a trip to the Art Institute in Chicago. The purpose of this trip is to learn about Hispanic artists. While at the museum you discover posters placed throughout the building, advertising a contest for creating a new game. The focus of the game must be about a famous Hispanic artist. The sponsors of the contest are Bill Gates and the Milton Bradley Company. The contest winner will have the opportunity to have their game put into production. The winner will also share in the profits generated by game sales. You will be working both individually and with a team to develop your game. With your team, you will also create an advertisement in order to promote your game. The Task and Product You have decided to enter the contest to create a new game. You will be working individually to research 3 Hispanic artists. You will be completing graphic organizers and a checklist for each artist. With your team of 4, you will decide which artist is most appropriate for creating the game. Your team will need to think about the impact that this artist had on their country culturally, politically or historically. When your team has reached consensus, you will compile your information and create the actual game. Afterwards, your team will produce an advertisement for the purpose of promoting your new game. Essential Questions 1.Which 3 artists will you choose to research? 2.In what ways did the Hispanic artists you have chosen reflect and shape their culture, history or politics? 3.What is unique about your artist? 4.What type of medium did your artists use to create their artwork? 5.Why is your artist famous? 6.What countries did your artists originate from? 7.What are the styles of your artists? 8.Did your artists have family or a spouse? 9.Who did your artists study with? 10.Why did your artists begin to paint or draw? 11.What are the birth/death dates of your artists? 12.What are the names of the places/schools where your artists studied art?
