Introductory Activity: Introduce the word courage and synonyms.





Tailored questions for discussion: “What is courage to you?” Define courage.
Brainstorm synonyms. Here are some suggested: bravery, grit, nerve, daring, valor, heroism,
gallantry
“How is courage shown in each picture?”
“How can you show courage?”
Individual or partner Activity:
After peer share, create a poster of an individual showing courage. Present to the class.
Concluding Activity:
Complete the worksheet “What is Courage?”
