32 Annual SEWE
Kids for Conservation
Photography & Poetry Competition
Dear Middle School Administrators & Teachers,
Southeastern Wildlife Exposition will celebrate the 32nd annual Expo February 14 – 16, 2014 and
we invite all Tri-County students to celebrate with us. Kids for Conservation has been a great source of
pride for SEWE over the past twenty years and we are pleased to continue this excellent program in the
Lowcountry.
SEWE is working diligently to promote Kids for Conservation in the Tri-County area and engage all
students in the importance of conservation. It is our hope that students who invest in conservation efforts as
youth will continue to protect our wildlife and environment as adults. Please encourage your students to
participate in this wonderful program by submitting artwork.
The photography & poetry competitions are open to students in grades 6 - 8. Content should be
wildlife-inspired and photographs should be no larger than 11” x 14”. Entries are due Monday, November
18 and should be hand delivered to the SEWE office, 211 Meeting Street, 2nd Floor, Charleston, SC 29401
or mailed to PO Box 20635, Charleston, SC 29413. (Do not mail posters to physical address!) New this
year, entries will be on display in the Main Branch of Charleston County Library, located at 68 Calhoun
Street. All KFC entries (posters, poetry, photography and birdhouses) and SC Junior Duck Stamp winning
entries will be on display during the month of February. Entries must be picked up from the library the
week of February 24 – February 28.
Please review the enclosed form and guidelines and contact me at 843.723.1748 or

Kind Regards,
Natalie Wooten
