YOUTH SWIMMING LESSONS
The benefits of swimming are limitless. Teaching your children to swim and encouraging them to
swim regularly can have significant benefits for both safety and health. According to many studies,
drowning is the second prominent cause of death for people between the ages of 5 and 24. With
teaching your children to swim, they will become a stronger swimmer as well as gain valuable
experience. This knowledge significantly reduces the risk of an emergency.
On-site registration at each pool will open on Saturday, June 3rd at 12:00 Noon - 3:00 PM. Group
swim lessons are available for pool members for $20.00 per child for each 2-week session and for
non-members $35.00 per child for each 2-week session are payable to Township of Morris Swim
Pool. Class sizes are limited. Class types and time slots are based on enrollment needs. Additional
registrations for swim lessons continue daily during operational hours at each pool - see the Pool
Manager for details during pools hours. Private swim lessons are available to pool members at
$20.00 per ½ hour session. All registration fees are payable to the Township of Morris Swim Pool.
Swimming and water safety lessons for all Morris Township resident youth are available at
both the Ginty Pool and Streeter Pool. Pool membership is not required for Swim Lesson
registration for residents. Classes are held for children ages 4 and older. Swim lessons follow
American Red Cross instructional guidelines and skill competencies:
