Cutting government waste

Jon Ru ssell's Lib erty Letter
Liberty is our fortune
In North Central Virginia we place a high value on liberty. We understand
our small businesses, families and churches are what make our
communities a great place to live. We believe property rights matter and
government plays a very small role in our well being. As a town
councilman, I have been working hard to protect our liberties, reduce the
size of government and uphold the rule of law. I want to share with you my
recent work in this issue of Liberty Letter.
Sincerely, Jon Russell, Culpeper Town Councilman

Youth and Law Enforcement
Introducing young people to law enforcement is a passion for
Jon. Last week he had the opportunity to coordinate a tour of
the town police department to Trail Life USA Troop VA412.
Russell on Trump
Jon was recently interviewed by Global News about
President Trump's first few weeks in office. Other
residents weighed in as well. There is no shortage of
excitement for the Trump Presidency.
When local control leads to "out-of-control locals"
In recent post Jon was quoted as saying, "The General
Assembly has granted new powers to local governments to
regulate short term housing rentals. Giving local governments
more power to regulate free enterprise will hurt citizens who
want to earn extra income and want to better utilize their
private property. Local governments need to be focused on
balanced budgets, low taxes and minimal regulations." Read
