I do. European and American eels can grow up to 3 or 4 feet but electric eels can grow to eight feet long. The biggest eel is a conger eel that can grow to 9 feet long. Conger eels can weigh up to 150 pounds. Moray eels have bad eyesight. Gulper eels have a pelican like mouth. There are about 600 kinds of eels. Moray eels can be orange, blue, green, yellow, white, brown, black, and gray. Eels look like snakes. An electric eel can knock over a standing horse and harm it. Eels have a weird shape. An Eel s Café Eels eat a few types of food. On rare occasions, an eel will eat something besides fish. Conger eels also like to eat octopus. If an eel can t find enough fish, it will eat falling palm fruit. If you get to close to a moray eel, it will bite you. Moray eels will also eat small squid and cu.lefish. Eels can eat a lot of types of food. This is a eel about to catch a fish. elty Eels by K
Hey I Live Over Here Eel habitats are cool. Some electric eels live in the Amazon. Moray eels live in tropical and subtropical places. Conger eels, moray eels, gulper eels, and pike eels all live in fresh water areas. Some eels live in the Atlantic Northeast of the Caribbean islands. Eels are cool creatures. This is

l Do you want to know everything interesting about eels? If a slime eel gets slime on you, you put a little water on it and peel it off. Some eels can go on land for a little while. A baby eel takes about 7 to 10 years to grow to actual size. Eels are great. What Foxes Are Like If you want to know what foxes are like, read this. Most foxes are either black, brown, red, white, blue-‐gray or tan. Also, most foxes have pointed ears, long bushy tails & weigh 7 to 30 pounds. Also, foxes have really good smelling & hearing. Plus foxes have 4 toes on each foot & dewclaws only on their front feet. By the way, the 4 main types of fox are red fox, kit fox, gray fox & arc[c fox. Foxes are super duper cool! Foxes By James Day So, So, So, So, So, So, Sad Foxes have 3 predators.
Their predators are people,
eagles & bears. Eagles &
bears hunt them for their
meat, but people hunt them
for their fur. I am very, very,
very, very, very sad for the
foxes. Time To Eat! Do you know what foxes eat? I do. These cool creatures feed mainly on rabbits, birds, lizards, bugs, mice, fish & berries. Foxes are awesome. Above are the predators. Above is what foxes eat. Foxes by Emme Behavior Foxes behave in many different ways. Foxes mostly move through the shadows. They are nocturnal. When foxes are scared they show teeth. They also can loose baby teeth. Foxes leave the at 6 months old. Adult foxes live alone. Gray foxes can climb trees. Foxes are awesome animals! These are two young fennec foxes in the rocky mountains. KOALAS by:Caitlin Koala s
Restaurant Silly koalas Koalas do many different things. Koalas are pregnant
for up to a little over a month and have a baby every 1
or 2 years. Once they leave their mother s pouch they
never drink again because they get their water from
leaves. After it is nine months old, it starts to climb a
lot. Koalas spend most of their time in time in trees. The
koala curls up in a tree to nap. Koalas are
NOCTURNAL wow! That means they are active at
night and sleep at day. They scream like a baby when
they are scared. Koalas are amazing animals. Do you know what
koalas eat? I DO! Koalas
eat from eucalyptus trees
but the eucalyptus leaves
are not very nutritious,
so koalas sleep for up to
20 hours a day. I m
glad I get to eat more
than a koala! This is a pic of a koala sleeping. This is a cartoon pic of a koala ea[ng human food. Koalas By Edie Koalas playing around together Koalas Dangers Koalas have a few dangers. I will tell you about the predators for the babies. The
dangers for the babies are dogs, snakes, and large birds. Once millions of koalas
got killed for their fur. Humans destroy their habitat for towns and streets. These
are a few of their predators Koala Hotel Do you know where koalas
live? I do. Koalas live in places
where there are plenty of trees.

dog. Their fur is grey and white. Koalas have long claws
that are sharp. They have rough pads. Their arms are
almost as long as their legs. Their fur on their chins has
white spots. Koalas weigh 25 pounds. Their height is 2 ½
feet. They live up to 12 years of life. A mother koala keeps
its baby safe and warm. When koalas are born, they have
no hair and are pink. When they are 6 months old, it
climbs out of the pouch and stays for 6 months. Baby
koalas are called joeys. Koalas have many interesting

I think lions are fascinating creatures. More than 20 million years ago lions were
saber tooth tigers. They changed over the years. Only the teeth and mane changed.
The lion changed by their mane growing in and the spots fading away. Lions are
awesome because they were saber tooth tigers!!
Do you know were a lion lives, I do!!! In
the past lions were found in different
places than Africa. The places they are
found now is only in Africa and a little bit
in Asia. A LION can blend in with the
grass. They live in the desert and in the
savanna. The only places a lion can hide is
in a tree or try to blend in with the grass.
I think lions are really cool animals! SO MANY THINGS ABOUT MOOSE! By:Ursula MUNCHIN LUNCHIN Moose are always looking for food. In the summer, moose families munch on different kinds of plants. In the cold, cold winter, moose eat twigs Moose eat about 90 bowls of salad, way too much for us! The word muss or moose means twig eater. Moose can also stop and munch on maple trees, aspen trees, willow trees and Douglas fir trees. One of the reasons why they are tall is because they need to reach tall trees. Some[mes, moose eat food on the ground. Moose love hazel bushes too. They go swimming for water plants. They watch for predators while they chew. Moose eat so much! This is a picture of a moose just walking around looking for food. LOOK AT A MOOSE Moose are a big chunk of brown! They are about the same size as the biggest horse. Moose lose an antler every year and the antler grows every month. A moose is the biggest member of the deer family. Normal moose weigh up to 800 pounds, but they can still run almost silently. Moose colors are grey, tan, and brown. A bull moose can grow antlers up to 6 feet. Moose have beards called a bell; it is under their throat. Moose also have big backbones that camels and bison have. Moose front legs are a bit longer than their back legs. Moose are mammals that are warm blooded. They have antlers that can become deadly. The largest kind of moose is 7 feet tall and lives in Alaska. That moose weighs 1,800 pounds. They are big because they need to run away from predator. Run fast moose! WATCH OUT! Do you know some predators of moose? I do. Bare, coyotes, links, bobcats, cougars, wolf, and wolverines. When a moose dies eagles and owls eat them too. Wolves eat most of the meat. Maybe a moose can fight off a pack of wolves. Hunters don t usually catch a full-‐grown moose. But some[me hunters get lucky. Babies have to be careful because they are weak. Also the thick snow can freeze them. Some[mes the trash can trip them and get them trapped. Along [me ago people hunted moose for their food, coat and antlers. Lots of animals eat moose. Did you know Owls… By Phin Who Whoo do you see? Do you know what an owl look likes? I do. Owls have forward facing eyes, ear holes (gross!), a hawk-‐like beak and a flat face. They have lots of colors of feathers. They have mostly brown and gray, but some have white. They have 3 eyelids. The third is used for cleaning. Baby owls are cute, soa, and blind. Every owl has a ring of different colored feathers that surrounds the face called a facial disk. The smallest owl grows 5 to 6 inches. Owls are very preXy. This is Mexico s spoXed owl staring at you This Barn owl is perching on S[ck looking for food. Lunch Time! While flying owls see many things to eat. They eat mostly mice, rats, frogs, (eww) insects, snakes, small birds even fish. Most of their diet is small rodents. Owls eat other owls smaller than themselves. A pygmy owl eats bigger, stronger and poisonous snakes. What an owl cannot digest is spit into a ball-‐ like shape called a pellet. Owls swallow most food whole. Some things owls eat I would never imagine ea[ng. At Home Owls have several habitats. They live on every con[nent except Antarc?ca , in prairies, forests and the Arc[c tundra. Owls don t make nests they find old ones, like hollow tree trunks and lea behind homes of other birds. The chestnut-‐backed owls live in moist forests, but not jungles. The Snowy owl lives in the Arc[c tundra through Alaska and Canada. The Barn owl lives near barns and they some[mes live in trees. The long-‐eared owl lives in dense and mostly dry woods with other owls. Some kinds of owls live in and near marshes. I think these habitats are very interes[ng. Owls by: Kai Owl ac[on Owls do lots of things at night. When aXacking prey, an owl spreads all 8 talons. It crushes its prey with its talons and then tears it apart with its beak. The Eurasian Eagle Owl some[mes eats young deer. Owls usually live alone but some[mes they get in groups called parliaments. A mother owl will care for her chicks for 3 months. Owls use their eyes to judge distance. If they see an intruder, they will fluff up their feathers. Snowy Owls can hear a mouse borrowing under earth or snow. Owls hunt at night but the Ural Owl can hunt by day or night. Owls do lots of interes[ng things. This owl has just caught a mouse. Owls in danger Owls have one predator. Would you like to know what they are? The owl s only predators are humans. The reason humans are predators are because of humans cujng down forests. Also humans use chemicals in fields. The chemicals poison mice and rats that the owls eat and die from the chemicals. I think it is very sad. This owl is about to catch a mouse. This owl ate too many poisoned animals. PENGUINS FACTS BY COOPER Interes[ng Facts There are a lot of interes[ng things about penguins. Did you know penguins are shaped like submarines? Penguins have solid bones because solid bones are heavy. That s why flying birds have hollow bones so they can lia up their body. Every place they live starts with an a except Peru. Can you believe there are 17 kinds of penguins. Penguins are very cool! WATCH out PENGUINS LOOKING FOR FOOD Do you know what a penguin s predators Zoom are? I do. Leopard seals like to eat penguins for Penguins love to have fun. They have some preXy fun stuff like tobogganing. Tobogganing is when a penguin slides on lunch, breakfast and the snow on their belly. Penguins are very good swimmers. dinner. Whales and None of us could swim like them. They can go up to gulls also like to eat 25miles per hour. Did you know some penguins make penguins. I m glad nests underground. King penguins carry their eggs. They they can dive good to don t make a nest. I wish I could that too! get away! Penguins Features Penguins have lots of cool features. Some of the coolest ones are these. Do you know why penguins have white bellies? When they are swimming under water against the white ice, the color of their tummy blends in and it makes the penguin harder to be seen. Their black back does the same, but it blends in with the black water on top. Penguins s[ff feathers help them stay [ght and more flat. They also help to steer. Penguins have other features too. Their big eyes help them see under water. Penguins webbed feet help steer just like the feathers. Some have stripes, spots or even spiky hair. Also they have some preXy bright colors. Oh and as you know penguins can`t fly even though they re a member of the bird family. There are 17 different kinds of penguins. Here s another cool fact. When baby penguins are born, they weigh less than a pound. Before the egg hatches, it is about the size of a grapefruit. I love all those facts e we liv

by Mike Sharks Description Sharks look mean. A shark has prickly skin because their skin is made of den?ls. The carpet shark uses camouflage to blend in. Their strong tail gives them power. A shark hardly seems to move as it swims along. Sharks are fish, but are very different. A shark s bones are made of car?lage. There are three kinds of fins. Some shark teeth are jagged and sharp. A whale shark has 4,000 teeth. The great white shark has 3,000 teeth. Sharks have their eyelids fully grown when they are born. They think a shark can live up to 100 years old! A marko shark can grow up to 12 feet. Sharks are fierce. Shark Buffet Sharks will pre.y much eat anything. Scien?st found a shark and inside was a suit of armor, coats, and a treasure chest. A ?ger will eat anything, even garbage! Sharks cannot eat puffer fish! Their prickly spines will hurt them. Sharks are fish. Sharks find prey in the sand. Sharks mostly eat fish, but will eat seal. Sharks eat a lot. FANTASTIC FACTS. There are many interes[ng facts about sharks. The four most dangerous sharks are great white [ger shark, bull shark and the white [pped reef shark. Bee s[ngs kill more people than sharks do. You are more likely to be struck by lightning than killed by sharks. Some sharks eat one another for food. Sharks cannot chew. Sharks have very good senses. Sharks do not like to eat PUFFER FISH because a puffer fish inflates like a big balloon. That pokes the shark s mouth with its sharp needles. Sharks are awesome animals! VISCOUS SHARKS. sharks rule! By Carmen Sharks are very viscous. Most sharks are harmless. Some sharks stay close to the boXom. Sharks are harmless when people tag them. Many sharks aXack from the below. Sharks feed on almost every creature in the sea. Sharks can easily find prey that is in the sand. The biggest and strongest sharks get food first and the smallest and weakest sharks get food last. Some [gers live where it s very cold. The [ger needs its own hun[ng territory. Tigers have good/cool habitats. Tiger predator There are a few predators that eat [gers. Its predators are striped r s hyenas, Indian pythons and humans. There is also a bear in Africa. These are the predators. They are their predators because they like to eat the young ones and newborn. They re used to be a sport to kill [gers in India. Those [gers are s[ll gejng a.acked. Tiger s descrip[on Do you know what a [ger looks like? I do! Some[mes [ger s tails are used to communicate. In six months [ger cubs will be able to hunt on their own and will have their four front teeth. Tigers bite throats or crack necks to kill their prey. Tigers weigh up to 750 pounds or less. When [gers roar, they re probably going to aXract a mate. When its tail is up it means it s friendly. When its tail is in the middle it means it s excited and when it is down it means it s tense. Tigers look cool. This a picture of a Sumatran [ger. These are some places [gers live. This is a [ger that buried a tapir. Tigers by Anna Behavior Tigers do lots of things. Tigers hunt alone at night. When a [ger hunts, it hides behind a rock, tree or tall grass. Then a [ger sneaks up on its prey. It grabs its prey and pulls it to the ground. Everything it does not eat it buries. Tigers love to swim. Tigers are so strong they can move a water buffalo long distances. It would take 13 men or more to pull that much weight. Tigers can t run fast for long distances. So they have to get close to their prey before aXacking. Tigers mate from November to April. Tigers are cool. Terrific Tiger Facts Tigers are very interes[ng. Saber tooth [gers are related to [gers. The white [ger is very rare. Tigers are terrific. This [ger may be hun[ng Dinner Time Tigers eat a lot of food. Tigers eat 100 pounds of meat a day. To get enough food [gers have to hunt day and night. Tigers eat tapirs, deer, fish, water buffalo, snakes, crocs and leopards. Tigers eat a lot of food. Blue Whales by JULIANNA McClary. Blue whale killers. Guess what s sad? Blue whales have 3 different kinds of predators. The killer whale gets for the babies. Sharks are their enemies. They have natural predators in the sea. People are the biggest threat to them. SAVE THE WHALES! We make oil out of their blubber for oil lamps. And different parts of them are used for different products. Those were some really sad facts This is a sketch of old Blue Whales. Blue Whales attitude Do you know what blue whales do all day? I do. When they go
under water their blowhole closes up. A mom blue whale pushes its
young up to the surface when it is first born to breath. A mom blue
whale plays with its young for up to six years. When they breathe
out it looks like a fountain spraying seawater. A blue whale swims
with 2 or 3 of its kind. Toothed whales make sounds that bounce off
of stuff. It is called echolocation. Whale babies can swim when they
are first born. Adult blue whales and babies swim through the sea
for up to 5 miles per hour. Blue whales do some cool stuff. Blue Whales By

I'm the biggest I'm the king They eat a lot of krill
to get a belly fill
They have 1 predator that's all
But they have 3 when they are small
Blue whales are blue
They're bellies are yellow too
They love to eat fish
It's their favorite dish
Blue whales are cool it's plain to see
That they are mammals just like me

Sharks like to jig
When they eat they rip
On blood they like to sip
Their teeth are very sharp and shiny
When born, baby sharks are tiny
Their fins are very pointy and gray
They stick out of the water all day
Sharks swim like lightning
To see them, is frightening
They attack, mouth open wide
I would not want to go inside

You really do eat meat
You are very impressive
And you are also aggressive

And you live in some lakes
You do like fish

I like foxes because they are cute
In their dens they might see a root
They have very sharp claws
On their small paws
Eating rabbits Is one of their habits
They eat lots of berries
One of them is cherries
They have a reputation for being sly
At night their dens are where they lie
A fox's coat is red
They have good ears on their head

Owls
By Kai
Owls come in all sizes
Hunters kill them for prizes
Owls fly through the night
Their hoot might give you a fright
Owls eat lots of rats
Owls sometimes attack bats
Owls live almost everywhere on earth Only female owls give birth
Deserts, forests and maybe a barn
Owl's feathers are soft as yarn
