uncle, officiated at the double-ring
ceremony.
The bride, escorted to the altar by
her parents, wore a formal length,
ivory silk gown with a semi-cathedral length train. She carried a
bouquet of tiger lilies, pink roses
and baby’s breath and Swedish ivy.
Susan Smith of Baltimore, Md.,
the bride’s sister, was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Sally Smith of
Manhattan, the bride’s sister-inlaw, and Jennifer Jones of Boston,
Mass., the groom’s sister.
The bridal attendants wore tea
length burgundy dresses and carried nosegays of white roses and
baby’s breath.
Michael Jones of Alexandria, Va.,
was his brother’s best man.
Groomsmen were Steven Smith
of Manhattan, brother of the bride,
and Robert Jones of Seattle, Wash.,
also a brother of the groom.
Flower girl was Amanda Jones of
Alexandria. Ring bearer was Sean
Robert Smith of Manhattan.
Soloist was Andrea Jones, the
groom’s cousin; the organist was
Thomas R. Moran, and Stephanie
Stevens, the bride’s aunt, was in
charge of the guest book.
Among those attending the ceremony were the bride’s grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Michael Smith
of Bennington, Vt., and Mr. and
Mrs. Patrick Bennigan of Portland,

A cocktail reception, dinner and
dancing to the music of The
Rhythmic Moves followed the wedding ceremony at Franklin Plaza on
Fourth and Grand streets in Troy.
The bride, who will retain her
maiden name, is a graduate of
Catholic Central High School in
Troy and The College of Saint
Rose in Albany, where she earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She is an elementary school teacher in the
Enlarged City School District of
Troy and is pursuing a master’s
degree in school administration at
Russell Sage College in Troy.
The groom is a graduate of
Watervliet High School and Siena
College in Loudonville, where he
earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in accounting. He is branch
manager for Pioneer Savings Bank
in Watervliet and is studying for
his MBA degree at Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in Troy. Mr.
Jones is also a lieutenant in the
U.S. Army Reserve in Niskayuna.
After a two-week Caribbean cruise
to Puerto Rico, St. Maarten,
St.Thomas, St. John, Montego Bay
and Ocho Rios in Jamaica, Barbados,
Martinique and Antigua, the couple
resides in the town of Brunswick.
