A.E. Peacock Collegiate
145 Ross st east Moose Jaw, SK
Divisions: High School Elite & Novice Male and Female (wrestling simultaneously)
Eligibility: Only athletes who are currently eligible to compete at their provincial
high school championships are allowed to compete. High school teams only.
Entry Fee: $15.00 per wrestler
Med. Info: Please ensure a thorough skin check is done on the athletes prior to
the competition. If the athlete is questionable, do not enter them in the
competition. An athlete may be pulled out of the tournament if a skin problem is
detected.
Gate: A nominal fee will be charged to spectators and parents at the gate.
Canteen: Canteen will be available throughout the day.
Lunch: Lunch will be provided to all coaches and advisors on Saturday.
Rules: New C.A.W.A. rules will be used.
Novice - 2 x 2:00 rounds (straight-time - may be adjusted based on tournament
pace)
- 2 x 3:00 rounds (straight-time – may be adjusted based on tournament
pace)

High School Elite Division:
Eligibility:
If an athlete meets any of the following criteria they must compete in the elite
competition and cannot compete in the novice competition.
1. They are currently a grade 11 or 12 student, with 1 or more years of wrestling
experience.
2. They placed in the top 4 at last year’s high school provincial championships.
3. They placed in the top 6 at the Canadian Juvenile National Championships or
the top 4 at the Canadian Cadet National Championships.
4. Were a member of the 2013 Canada Games Wrestling Team or 2014
Saskatchewan Indigenous Games team.
Weigh-Ins: Weigh-ins may take place between 12:00 & 8:00PM on Thursday,
12th February
Weigh-in must be inputted into “TrackWrestling” online program by 8:00PM on
Thursday, February 12th. There will be an email sent to all coaches with link,
username/password and instructions for “TrackWrestling.”
A confirmation e-mail and master list of entrants will be sent to coaches by later
Thursday evening or early Friday morning. Please check the list to ensure there
were no mistakes.
Weight Classes:
Male: 41, 44, 47, 50, 53, 56, 59, 62, 65, 69, 73, 77, 82, 90, 98, 110, 110+ (Max 130kg)
Female: 44, 47, 50, 53, 56, 60, 64, 68, 73, 80, 90, 90+ (Max 105KG)
0.2 KG Weight Allowance
Draw:
The draw will be a double elimination bracket draw for all weight classes with
more than 5 wrestlers. Any weight class with 5 or fewer entries will be a pool
format.
Awards:
Individual medals for first, second, and third place in each weight class
High School Novice Tournament:
Eligibility:
Any wrestler who does not meet the criteria for the Elite tournament may
compete in the Novice tournament.

Weight Classes:
Athletes will be pooled according to scratch weight. Weight classes will be pooled
based on SHSAA criteria.

Round robin pools of 5 or 6 (if possible).
