The origin of Futsal (Five-a-Side Soccer) can be traced back to Uruguay, in 1930 when a five-a-side version of soccer was devised for youth competition in YMCAs. The game is
played on basketball-sized courts, without the use of sidewalls. All levels of player are welcome and participants sign up individually and are assigned to teams based on
experience. Each game is 40 minutes long broken into 4, 10-minute quarters. Games are played Tuesday evenings between 7:30 and 10:00 p.m. The Season is 7 weeks long
running Tuesday, January 8 through Tuesday, February 19, 2013. <A

Piano 1: Learn how to play the piano in this series of private lessons with your instructor. Students will learn the basics of reading music and how to play simple songs. For the
first-time student music will be provided for the first lesson. For the remaining lessons students must have the required book purchased from a local store (approximately
$6/book). Continuing students should check with the instructor about their music. It is necessary that students have a piano, practice at home and complete their assignments.
Please contact the instructor prior to Saturday classes if a student must miss class. A parent must also be present during the class period. This is a 6-week class. Because
enrollment is limited the class is available for Y members only. For registration please contact the program coordinator at 734/661-8034.

throughout. The workshop will provide you with both a theoretical understanding as well as an experiential, practical understanding of well-organized movement. And, it will be
fun rolling around on the floor, making spirals and feeling a bit like a child again.

than work hard in your back in order to stand up straight. We will also explore the use of counterbalance of your various parts that can make for an effortless, upright and
dynamic posture.

Vinyasa Yoga for Runners - Instructor: Lisa - Vinyasa Yoga for Runners is a class for runners of all abilities and experience. Our aim will be to improve performance and pleasure
in running, and to prevent injury. Much of the focus will be on stretching, but we will go deeper than just becoming more limber. We will tone underused muscles, build mental
strength and stamina, and begin to correct the body imbalances that can lead to chronic pain and injury. Non-runners are welcome. Appropriate for anyone interested in a
shorter yoga class.
