Pit & Bike Washing Area(s) One large two sided UCI legal pit is located on the course close near the pro team parking area. See course map for details. The Pit Area is for the exchange of race bikes, wheels or feeding during the course of a rider’s event. On either side of Pit Area is the exchange lane, which is for riders’ entry and exit only. Do not stand in the exchange lanes during a race. Between exchange lanes is the median for storage of bikes, wheels, and riders’ assistants. Only riders and riders’ mechanics/assistants may be present inside the Pit Area during the race. Gasoline powered pressure washers will be located at the pits for mechanics and assistants tending to racers on course. Use of pressure washers by unauthorized personnel at unauthorized times may be subject to disqualification. Please remove your equipment out of the pit area immediately following your race. A general bike wash area will be located near registration. Neutral support will be provided by SRAM. Pit Passes & Mechanics Protocol Mechanics passes will be issued at registration for riders entered in the UCI Elite races. Each rider has a right to two (2) assistants. No other personnel will be allowed in the pit zone area. No pit passes are required for the USA Cycling non elite categories. Race Numbers Race numbers are to remain unfolded and uncrumpled, and pinned to the left side of the rider’s jersey. Riders registering for multiple events on the same day need to wear the proper number for each race. Riders in the UCI Elite races will be given one hip number for the left side of their back and two shoulder numbers. Shoulder numbers are to be positioned on bicep/deltoid facing forward, so that they can be seen from the front. Misplaced or misapplied numbers will risk the rider not being correctly scored for the race. Please make sure to properly place the numbers according to the above guidelines. Please feel free to consult race staff or the head official if you have questions on number placement.
