–Choose a book from your grade level (2 books if you are in Honors or Gifted)
•Step 2
–READ the novel!
•Step 3
–Print out a copy of the Summer Reading Rubric located on the school website
(btwash.org)
–Read over the rubric
–Create an Edmodo account
•If you already have an Edmodo account, you only have to join your grade
level for the 2012-2013 school year.
•How to create an Edmodo account
–Go to www.edmodo.com/
–Click on “I’m a Student”
–Fill out the information
–Group Code
–Remember to use the grade you will be in Next year

–Using the rubric, you are to make a post (UNDER YOUR GROUP CODE
ONLY) about the book you have chosen to read. In order to receive FULL credit,
you have to meet the requirements that are stated in the rubric.
–After you have made your post, you will now check to find 2 individuals in your
group who have read the same book. You must comment on their posts.
–If you do not make your two comments, you will not receive full credit.
•Step 4
–Enjoy the rest of your summer and take pride in starting off your new school
year right.
