SUBJECT AVAILABILITY IS DEPENDENT UPON VIABLE GROUP SIZE
For A Level a grade B is recommended in your chosen subjects. A grade B is essential in Physics, Biology, Chemistry (overall and in the exam units) and Languages GCSE in
order to take these subjects at A Level. All students taking Physics should also take AS Maths. Where students have studied double award Science a B in Additional
Science is necessary to take an A level. An A grade is necessary to take Maths at A level and an A or A* for Further Maths; for Core Maths a grade C at GCSE Maths is a
minimum. A grade B in Maths or Science is needed to study Psychology. BTEC Applied Science students should have a GCSE grade C in both Core and Additional Science.
For all BTECS you need a minimum of 4 A* to C grades at GCSE. Please refer to the subject information supplied by staff.
