President’s Recep on proved that
Wisconsin Clerks have many talents
and enjoy le ng go and
just having fun!
Karaoke was also part of the President’s Recep on. Clerks, as
well as Vendors, showed off their singing talents. They were so
good it made others want to get up and dance!
The third fun offering at the President’s Recep on was a chance to play casino games without breaking your wallet!
All of the games at the Recep on were designed to let clerks earn ckets toward some great gi baskets.
Again, a big thank you to our WMCA Associate members. All of the games and karaoke were paid for by Vendor Dona ons.

book, “The Energy Bus” by Jon Gor‐

Sandy’s bus for the 2015‐2016
WMCA year.
Sandy gave Karen her President’s Plaque which read, “Presented to Karen Weinschro WCPC/CMC—In honor of your year of service to the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Associa on as President. For your leadership and dedica on, your for tude and the strength of your convic ons, and your immense pride in being a clerk, We salute you! Karen gave Sandy her President’s Ring; passed the gavel to her; and gave her the President’s Traveling Plaque where Sandy’s name has now joined the 35 other Presidents that have served the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Associa on. Tradi on in the WMCA is to give the outgoing President a gi presented by the Conference Commi ee. Over the years there have been pain ngs, jewelry, and gi cards for the President’s favorite restaurant or store. But when this President heard during the planning of the conference that La Crosse had a carriage service that took people on rides around the downtown, she was so disappointed to learn that the company would be out of town at the Illinois State Fair the week of the conference and no one would be able to get a ride on the Tuesday evening free night. What she didn’t know is that the Conference Commi ee ques oned the company further and found out they would be back in town for Thursday night, so we sent President Weinschro and her family on her own Cinderella carriage ride around downtown La Crosse as her par ng gi . Karen was thrilled and even though she didn’t get to take home a physical gi , we are pre y sure the memory of that ride will stay with her forever!
