This week, students were
fnishing testing for reportcards.
This included writing numbers to
100 and recognizing numbers to
100. Please practice these skills
at home if your child had any
difficulty. This week students
also learned about greater than,
less than, or equal to. Students
are learning about this concept
through using base ten blocks
and dominoes.
This week in Science,
students are continuing to learn
about weather. Students are
learning more about the four
seasons summer, fall, winter,
and spring. Tonight, ask your
child what season has the
shortest amount of daylight.


weekly for your child’s progress.

Alice B. McGinty, children's author of
over 40 books will be coming to Iroquois
West Elementary on April 11. She will
be presenting her books in a school
assembly at 1:10 in the Gilman gym.
Parents are welcome to attend. Alice's
books are available on a pre-order basis
and can be signed on April 11. An order
form for her books will be available after
March 24.


In Phonics, your child reviewed suffixes

students learned more about placing
words in ABC order even when a word
