SYNOPSIS
Anna Blume is a visual poetry about the lust of a man chasing a woman. The story takes on a surreal
journey dictated by the mind of the poet. Lust and ingestion, disguised in love, drive the two characters to
an end where love turns to be a very lonesome and strange place. The film is based on and inspired by
the emblematic love poem from 1919 "An Anna Blume" by Kurt Schwitters.

SYNOPSIS [GERMAN]
Anna Blume ist ein Stück visueller Poesie über die lustvolle Jagd einer Frau durch einen Mann. Die Geschichte
nimmt einen surrealen Verlauf, bestimmt durch die Vorstellungen des Dichters. Wollust und das Bedürfnis nach
vollständiger Vereinnahmung – versteckt im Gewand der Liebe – treiben die beiden Charaktere an einen
Endpunkt, wo sich Liebe in einen einsamen und merkwürdigen Zustand verwandelt. Der Film basiert auf und ist
inspiriert durch das sinnbildliche Gedicht „An Anna Blume“, von Kurt Schwitters 1919 geschrieben.

DIRECTOR’s BIO
Vessela Dantcheva (1975) is working in the field of animation since 2001.
She graduated Cum Laude in 2001 at the Rotterdam Art Academy "Willem de Kooning" with the film "Pull
Over". In 2004 she sets up her own animation production studio
FINFILM, together with the animation director Ivan Bogdanov in Sofia, Bulgaria. Vessela Dantcheva

PRODUCER’s BIO
Ebele Okoye (1969) graduated from the IMT, Enugu Nigeria with an upper credit in Graphic Design/
Illustration. After a design-study stint at the University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf, Germany and a
traineeship at the WDR, she furthered in 2D Animation at the International Film School Cologne. She
works as a fine and media artist directing and producing own films, video art as well as commissioned
projects on media design. Anna Blume is her first go at an international co-production as a producer.

ART DIRECTOR’s BIO
Ivan Bogdanov (1973) graduated BFA from The Rotterdam Art Academy "Willem de Kooning" in 2002.
Since then he works as an independent animation director, illustrator and comix artist from his own studio
FINFILM, set in Sofia, Bulgaria. Recently he is involved in the founding of Compote Collective - a platform
for individual visual talents.
MUSIC COMPOSER’s BIO
Petar Dundakov(1970) has a degree in composing and arranging from the Rotterdam Music Academy in
Holland - Paul van Brugge class. He works mainly in the domain of contemporary music and jazz. He has
composed pieces for various ensembles in Holland and Bulgaria. In the recent years Petar Dundakov has
established himself as well-known author of film, theatre and dance music.
SOUND DESIGNER’s BIO
Emil Iliev (1971) started playing a guitar in 1984, and few years later, drums and piano. He worked with
many bands in Bulgaria, Israel and Canada. In 1996 he studied sound engineering and sound design and
established his own sound studio in Sofia, Bulgaria. Now he composes, plays, records and produces his
own music as well as works as sound designer on various film, TV, radio and internet productions. In the
last few years he is recording, mixing and mastering music entirely in surround 5.1 format.
