THE MENTA GROUP
®
Celebrating 30 years of service in Arizona
30 years of changing lives one student at a time.
As a non-profit, The Menta Group ® is proud
of the programs developed to help at-risk youth
reach their academic goals and make positive contributions
to their communities. The Menta Group ® still firmly believes in
the core value upon which the organization was founded on
in IL in 1973: EVERY child has the right to be in school.

county to make a positive impact for students,
parents, school districts, and the community.

problems in education and human services.
Leading the Pack in Special Education Best Practices
Trauma-Informed School Practices
Menta is paving the way by integrating trauma-informed practices into our program model,
incorporating trauma awareness training for staff, parent training, skill development for students
in self-regulation, social cognition, mindfulness, and trauma- sensitive clinical supports. The Menta
Group is one of the first organizations in the valley to implement these practices at the school
level. Join us at the Trauma Sensitive Schools Symposium in July 2017 where we will be
presenting about our PBIS and Trauma-Informed practices.
PBIS
Menta programs are grounded in positive behavior supports and
interventions. Our organization believes in looking at the whole-child
and provides wrap-around supports to our families. All of our programs
are recognized at the state level by PBISAZ. Mesa Center for Success
and Southwest Academy received Gold recognition this year.
Alternative to Suspension (ATS) / 45-day placement
ATS and 45-day placements provide districts the option to keep
students in school learning while on suspension or during evaluation.
