FLORIDA VIRTUAL SCHOOL
Florida Virtual School is an online independent school in which students can take classes for free in the form of independent
learning. Many students use FLVS as a means for credit recovery as well as an option to handle unique educational
circumstances. To register for online courses:
1) go to www.flvs.net
2) create a FLVS student account; if you already have an account, make sure Atlantic
Coast High is on your account profile. Your student identifier number is your social security number with
an X at the end.
3) request course(s)
4) Send an email to inform your school counselor of your requests and ask for approval. Email addresses are below.
Within a few days to a week, a FLVS teacher will contact you with your classroom assignment, procedures, and expectations.
Please keep in mind that students must meet the prerequisites for a course in order for an approval to be granted.
