Please note that the last published edition of the Vacancies Gazette
was Friday, 5th November 2010
There is no longer a requirement for Agencies to publish the vacancy positions
in the Vacancies Gazette as per the Public Service Commission
Recruitment and Selection Directive 1/10 as issued in January 2010.
However, the requirement to publish the appointment of advertised
vacancy positions in the Gazette remains in place.
Therefore, all appointment notice submissions received from Monday, 8th November 2010
will be published in the Queensland Government General Gazette .
All existing subscriptions to the Vacancies Gazette will be transferred to the
General Gazette, i.e. from the week ending Friday, 12th November 2010 all Vacancies
Gazette subscribers will receive the General Gazette for the duration of their subscription.

1.
This notice may be cited as the Amendment of Planning
Scheme Notice (No. 1) 2010.
Declaration of amendment of planning scheme of Brisbane City
Council
2.
For Lot 425 on SP158144, County of Stanley Parish of
Nundah, which was declared balance port land in Balance
Port Land Notice (No.1) 2010, the amendment of the
Brisbane City Plan 2000 mentioned in section 3 below is
declared under section 283P of the Transport Infrastructure
Act 1994 .

Amend Planning Scheme Map 1 of 3, entitled Area
Classifications and Proposed Road Hierarchy to 2011 , so

Short title
1. This notice may be cited as the Objections to Proposed
Road Closure Notice (No 45) 2010.
Application for road closure [s.100 of the Act]
2. Applications have been made for the permanent closure
of the roads mentioned in the Schedule.
Objections
3.(1) An objection (in writing) to a proposed road closure
mentioned in the Schedule may be lodged with the Regional
Service Director, Department of Environment and Resource
Management, at the regional office for the region in which the
road is situated.
(2) Latest day for lodgement of objections is 6 January
2011.
(3) Any objections received may be viewed by other parties
interested in the proposed road closure under the provisions of
the Right to Information Act 2009. If you lodge an objection,
please include in your objection letter whether you would like
to be consulted if this issue becomes the subject of an access
request under the Right to Information Act 2009.

4. Inspection of the plans of the proposed road closures
may be made at(a) the Department of Environment and Resource
Management Offices at Mackay, Cairns, Toowoomba
and Warwick; and
(b) the Local Government Offices of Isaac Regional,

ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT TO THE PLANNING SCHEME
FOR THE SHIRE OF TIARO 2005 (01.2007)
Notice is given under the repealed Integrated Planning Act
1997 (IPA), Schedule 1 that on 24 November 2010, Fraser Coast
Regional Council adopted amendment 01.2007 to the Tiaro Shire
Council Planning Scheme 2005.
The planning scheme amendment will have effect on and from
29 November 2010.
The general purpose of the planning scheme amendments is to
provide a sound planning tool to manage development within the
former Tiaro Shire local government area that is now administered
by the Fraser Coast Regional Council area only. The Gympie
Regional Council will continue to administer land located within the
balance area of the former Tiaro Shire.
The general effect of the amendments relate to:

DECLARATION OF A SIGNIFICANT PROJECT
I, Graeme William Newton, appointed as the Coordinator-General,
do hereby declare the Carmichael Coal Mine and Rail project, as
defined in the Initial Advice Statement dated 22 October 2010 to be
a significant project, for which an Environmental Impact Statement
is required, pursuant to section 26(1)(a) of the State Development
and Public Works Organisation Act 1971.
I nominate Adani Mining Pty Ltd to be the proponent for the project.

Notice of proposed Ministerial designation of land for

Sustainable Planning Act 2009
A Ministerial designation has been made
I, Geoff Wilson MP Minister for Education and Training, give notice
that under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, chapter 5, part 2,
that I made a Ministerial designation of land for community
infrastructure on 10 November 2010.
Description of the land to which the designation applies
The Ministerial designation applies to land located at 89 Windsor
Road, Burnside. The site is located within the Sunshine Coast
Regional Council local government area and consists of one
allotment described as Lot 794 on CG4520.
Type of community infrastructure for which the land has been
designated
The land has been designated for the Sunshine Coast Institute of
TAFE Nambour Campus. The community infrastructure is described
under Schedule 2 of the Sustainable Planning Regulation 2009 as
follows:
(e) community and cultural facilities, including child-care
facilities, community centres, meeting halls, galleries and
libraries;
(g) educational facilities;
(u) storage and works depots and the like including
administrative facilities associated with the provision or
maintenance of the community infrastructure mentioned
in paragraphs (a) to (t).
Further described as:
“a place of higher education, vocational education and training
that provides a range of courses, utilising associated teaching
and social and public support functions; including carparking
and conference, and engages in commercial and retail
activities and alliances that are in support of its educational

I, the Honourable Neil Roberts, Minister for Police, Corrective
Services and Emergency Services, give notice that under the
Sustainable Planning Act 2009, chapter 5, I made a Ministerial
designation of land for community infrastructure on
18 November 2010.
The designation will take effect from 26 November 2010.
Description of the land to which the designation applies
The Ministerial designation applies to land located at 67-69
Castles Road, Craignish.
The land is described as Lot 129 on RP904837, Parish of Vernon
and County of March.
Type of community infrastructure for which the land has been
designated
The land has been designated to allow for the development of
the Craignish Fire and Rescue Station, Craignish Ambulance
Station and associated facilities on the site.
This community infrastructure is described under the Sustainable
Planning Regulation 2009, schedule 2 as(h) emergency services facilities; and
(u) storage and works depots and the like including
administrative facilities associated with the provision or
maintenance of the community infrastructure mentioned
in paragraphs (a) to (t).

Planning Act 2009, section 202

course map prepared by Maritime Safety Queensland, designated
plan “A1-50”, and held at the Regional Harbour Master’s Office in
Brisbane.

Format of Objections:
Objections must be lodged in writing individually or in petition
form and must state the grounds for objection. An objection in
the form of a petition must be in a format stipulated in the Act
and the principal contact person should discuss the proposed
petition with the Licensing Officer listed below. A petition
template is able to be downloaded from the Office of Liquor
and Gaming Regulation website at www.olgr.qld.gov.au
A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC MAY MAKE A WRITTEN SUBMISSION
TO THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE REGARDING whether the granting of
this application will impact on the community, particularly
relating to matters which the Chief Executive must have regard
under Section 116(6) of the Liquor Act 1992.
