REFLECTIONS PTA ART CONTEST
Cottage Lake students are participating in the Reflections Art Contest and will make a
visual artwork during an art docent lesson. Students can also submit additional art or
other works on their own in the other categories if they choose. Our school deadline is

Our big ticket items are: Hallway partitions and Technology
(iPads,
etc). Please stay tuned for more details to come! (This is auction
fundraising $ put to use from last year's Auction.)
Plus, throughout the year teachers apply for PTA grants to support their
classrooms with materials and equipment they otherwise would not have
access to. During our last two PTA meeting we were able to financially
support many grants to meet the specific and timely needs of our
teachers and students. Below is a list of items that the PTA was able to
purchase...








3rd grade field trip to see a production of Stewart Little at the
Meydenbauer Center.
Glee Club shirts to be passed out for performances and used for
later performances.
16 wiggle cushions, 1 weighted vest, 2 compression vests and
chewy toys/devices for CLC.
Alphabet materials to aid with Kindergarten learning groups.
2nd grade study of owl pellets.
Math manipulatives to help students represent math concepts in a
concrete way.
Common Core English Language books for 3rd-5th grade.
Therapro Kids Express Train set with songs to enhance speech
and language skills.
We need your continued monetary support to continue to enhance the

REFLECTIONS PTA ART CONTEST
We will be celebrating our school’s participation Friday, December 13th, at
`6PM, at the Ginger Bread House Night and Reflections Art Show. We will
showcase all of the 250+ works this evening and artwork will remain on
display the following week in the lunch room and library. On Friday,
January 10th, the district finalists (including all of our CLE finalists) will be
on display at the Northshore Council PTSA’s Reflections Reception.
