On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to
give up her seat on the bus to a white man. The
important thing about this is the Montgomery
Bus Boycott started. The Montgomery Bus
Boycott was one of the major events in the Civil
Rights Movement in the United States.

to on the bus. They don't have to go to the back
of the bus for white man or woman. Rosa and
her brother were lucky to have enough food to
eat. But sometimes they were sad. Black were

One day I got on the bus for work and my first stop
was a big load of white people like 8 or 9 people then
my next stop was a black girl named Rosa Parks. When
she got on the bus she went to the front of the bus
and my next stop was a white man and he had
nowhere to sit, so I look at Rosa Parks, and I said "give
that white man that seat." She said "no." I said, "I well
call the police," and she did not move. So, I called the
police and the police came and arrested her and took
to jail in Montgomery, AL. The whole time I was mad,
thinking,

right but the whites did.

arrested. As I saying this.I am realizing that I'm
thinking about how it help the Black's seating on the
