1. INTRODUCTION
Many times, Customers go online to buy gifts for their beloved ones and usually they
need gifts to be wrapped, too. Beautiful gift wrapping does more than conceal its
contents: it’s another way of showing the recipient that he is special. Therefore, it will be
a disadvantage if you do not allow your Customers to do so. With Magestore’s Gift Wrap
extension, your Customers will definitely feel more satisfied with a wide choice of
options to create their own pretty gifts!

2. HOW TO USE IN FRONTEND
2.1. Create Gift Wrap and Checkout
There are 2 ways for customers to create their gift wrap: on Product Page and on
Shopping Cart page.
 On detailed pages of products which can be wrapped, customers can see the Gift
Wrap section. After clicking on it, they will see 2 checkbox options: Create a new gift
box or Add to an existing gift box.
 If customers tick Create a new gift box, they can step by step choose their preferred
gift paper/ gift box, select a gift card and write a gift message.

 If customers tick Add to an existing gift box, they can add this product to the
current gift wrap in their cart.
Customers can click on VIEW DETAILS to check their existing gift boxes before
wrapping more items via a popup window.
 After adding products to shopping cart, customers are still able to create or edit gift
wrap. There are Giftwrap checkboxes next to products which can be wrapped in cart.
Customers can quickly review all gift wrap information on the top of the Shopping
Cart page.

When ticking Giftwrap icon, a popup will be displayed, allowing customers to prepare
their wrap in 3 following simple steps:
 At step 1, customers can select a gift box or wrapping paper style.

 At step 2, the box listing gift card options will be displayed. Customers can select
one of them and then, write a personal message for their friends to say “Happy
Birthday” or “Congratulations on graduation”, etc.

 At step 3, customers can choose to wrap only the chosen items or add other
products to that one gift box/ gift wrap. If customers select “Edit wrapped Qty. or
Chose other items in cart for wrapping”, they can select other products to wrap
and edit quantity.

After choosing the adaptable style, gift card and items to wrap, customers click on the
Save & Close button and their gift box will be created. Then they are able to review
their gift wrap information before checkout. The order total price will be automatically
updated with the gift wrap fee.

2.2. View Gift Wrap Information
After successful checkout, customers are able to view Gift Wrap information in their
order, invoice or shipment.

3. HOW TO CONFIGURE IN BACKEND
3.1. Manage Gift Boxes
In Backend, go to Catalog  Gift Wrap  Manage Gift Boxes.
On this page, you can view, edit and add new gift box or wrapping paper.
 To create a gift box:
 Click on the Add New Gift Box button.
 Fill in name, price and select a thumbnail image for the gift box. Please pay
attention to the notes under each configuration to make suitable adjustment.

 Click on the Save or Save and Continue Edit button. The newly created gift
box will be shown on the Manage Gift Boxes page.
 To edit an existing gift box, simply click on the Edit link at the end of its
corresponding row and repeat above steps.
3.2. Manage Gift Cards
In Backend, go to Catalog  Gift Wrap  Manage Gift Cards

On this page, you can view, edit and add new gift cards.
 To create a gift card:
 Click on the Add New Gift Card button.
 Fill in name, price and select a thumbnail image for the gift card. You also need
to limit the maximum number of characters allowed in message writing on the
gift card. Please pay attention to the notes under each configuration to make
suitable adjustment.
 Click on the Save or Save and Continue Edit button. The newly created gift
card will be shown on the Manage Gift Cards page.
 To edit an existing gift card: simply click on the Edit link at the end of its
corresponding row and repeat above steps.
3.3. Manage Wrappable Products
In Backend, go to Catalog  Giftwrap  Manage Wrappable Products.

On the Manage Wrappable Products page, after selecting products, you can change
their Wrappable attribute value in mass. Simply choose Actions as “wrappable” or
“unwrappable”.
Another way is that you can go to Product Details pages and set the value of the
Wrappable attribute for each product.

3.4. View Gift Wrap Information in Order, Invoice
In Backend, go to Sales  Orders. For orders that have wrapped items, it will show
information at the end of page.
