Hissss… komodo dragons have adaptations to help them survive. Komodo dragons can
detect prey from a mile away. And because of its keen sense of smell it can easily smell rotting
flesh, which is its favorite food. Did you know that? Also, it has a pinkish-yellow tongue.And it
has at least 60 teeth to kill prey. They also have long sharp claws to dig a den. Komodo dragons
are cold-blooded so they get heat from the sun. If you ever find yourself in Indonesia you might
see a Komodo dragon's adaptations.

without eating, isn’t that interesting? Komodo dragons really have no natural predators.

special habitat to survive. They live in Indonesia, Indonesia is a couple of islands together.
Komodo dragons live in a rocky and dry terrain,also where they live it is blistering hot, and it
hardly ever rains. And since it is hot they live in a den. And where they live even lakes can dry
up. I would not want to live like a Komodo dragon!

the ability to defend themselves against predators. They have sharp claws to grab predators,

have a venomous bite, and if an animal bites it it will die because the komodo dragon’s body is
full of poison. That's why you should never attack a komodo dragon!
