Community Futures (CF) is a program that supports community economic development and builds the capacity of
communities to realize their full sustainable potential. The purpose of the CF Program is to help communities
develop and implement local solutions to local problems.

The purpose of Community Futures is primarily to help local entrepreneurs source funding to start and grow their
small business. We also provide ongoing coaching to existing clients and those that need advice to grow their
business to the next level.
Over the past few years we have been an active participant in Career Fair, providing an opportunity for today’s
youth to meet with colleges, universities, trade schools and potential employers in a trade show environment.
This information session is held in October and invites students from all schools within the SaskRivers and Catholic
School Division. We are very proud to have been a sponsor of this learning session for the past four years.
Our office has also been actively participating in the roundtable discussions with the City of Prince Albert,
Economic Development Dept. We recently participated in a forum that involved the local Chamber of Commerce
and the City departments focusing on succession planning for local business owners.
