ORDER OF EVENTS
PLEASE NOTE: Prior to each event, the team of four (4) runners entered from each school should report
to the bull pen, present their entry card and await instructions from the Assistant Clerk of the Course.
FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION! WEDNESDAY’S PRELIMINARY

6400 (4 X 1600) METER RELAY:
Super alley start (Alley 1-2-3 & Alley 4-5-6)
Runners are to remain in alley until break line at start of straightaway (Umpire will be placed
at break line for identification).

440 (4 X 110) METER SHUTTLE INTERMEDIATE HURDLE RELAY:
Lanes 1-3-5 start at normal finish line, Lanes 2-4-6 start at normal start line. Ten (10) hurdles
@39". The exchange zone will be marked by a line placed 4 feet ahead of the starting line.

400 ( 4 X 100) METER RELAY (Freshmen & Sophomore ONLY):
Four (4) runners - each run 100 meters - all runners stay in their lanes all the way; stagger each
lane start from the middle of track.

SPRINT MEDLEY RELAY:
Four (4) runners - run 200m-100m-100m-400m - Start at the regular spot on the Southside of the track,
stagger same as 400 relay start. First three (3) runners stay in lanes on the first lap. Last
runner cuts to the pole position when in the clear after taking the baton.

of the track, northside-no stagger start. Pass baton according to the pole position;
race finishes on the press box side of the track.

Four (4) runners-each run 200 meters-start in middle of track-southside-stagger
each lane. Run in lanes all the way.

1600 (4 X 400) METER RELAY OPEN):
Four (4) runners-each runs 400 meters-start in middle of the track southside-1st
runners staggered, runs in lanes all the way; 2nd runners receives baton in the assigned lane and
stays in the assigned lanes until they reach the break line, at which time they
break for the pole-3rd & 4th runners pass baton by pole position.
