Is there a charity involved?
No, there is not a charity partner. This is a fundraising event for the Yarra Ranges Athle3cs club, catering for athletes of all abili3es from 6yrs to
106yrs (maybe one day). The club is based at the Yarra Ranges Regional athle3cs facility at Mt Evelyn, fundraising will be used to assist with improving facili3es and equipment at
this venue for all users including schools and the general public.
Registraon and Race Number collecon: Go to www.yarrarangesathle3cs.org.au for the online registra3on facility. Race Number collec3on will be on the morning of race day
from 8am. Entrants under the age of 18 will need to have a guardian sign the event waiver at the 3me of race number collec3on if it had not been signed previously.
What about the course? We have taken the most iconic Lilydale running venue and created a unique way to experience this fantas3c loca3on. All courses will be well marked,
and will take in the surrounding parklands of the lake including running on grassed areas and the familiar gravel trails. Hospital Hill has been added into each events course. Maps
will be available on the website, but won’t be needed on race day as the course will be marked and marshalled. Accuracy of the course will be done with all due care, but due to the
cross country nature of the course will have some varia3on.
Drink Staons? There will be water at the start and finish. It is intended that we will have 1 water sta3on on the 5km loop. (visited twice for 10km event)
Timing?
This is not a chip 3med event, but our team of experienced event operators will ensure accuracy and quick publishing of results. Make sure you work with our
volunteers at the finish to record your finishing posi3on.
Parking?
There is plenty of parking within the Lillydale Lake park, but if we have a larger than expected number of entrants it is possible the carpark will be full. If so overflow
parking is accessible from John St, Lilydale and will leave only a short walk to the event area. There is also parking to the south of the main entrance on Swansea Rd.
Can I run with my Dog? The Lillydale Lake Parkland does not restrict dogs as long as they are on a lead, however, to help ensure the safety of all entrants there are to be no dogs
running with the Yarra Ranges Athle3cs Fun Run.
Can I run/walk with a Pram? Yes in the 2km event. But be aware that parts of the course will be across grassed areas that may or may not be easily traversed with a pram. For
the safety of other entrants we ask that all prams start to the back of the field.
Will there be somewhere to leave my bag? Yes, there will be a covered area to store a bag. We will have volunteers in the immediate area but you are strongly advised to leave
valuables at home as we cannot be held responsible for any loss.
Will there be prizes? Spot prizes and other prizes will be announced closer to the event on the website and via entrant email newsleFers.
Do you need extra volunteers? Events like this survive on volunteer help. If you are able to assist please e-mail [email protected] . All formal volunteers can
have a family member or friend enter for free.
Will I receive a medal? Yes—thanks to Founda3ons Family Day Care for making this possible.
