Students of the Year
Each year, Rene Rost selects one 5th grade and one 8th grade student to
receive the honor of Student of the Year. This process is very difficult considering
how many amazing students we have at our school. The students then have to complete a packet and are interviewed. After this rigorous process, two students were
selected. Congratulations to our students of the year!
5th Grade Student of the Year: Reagan Smith (pictured on the right)
Reagan Smith has maintained a 4.0 GPA since first grade. She is also involved in our
community. She is in the RMS 4-H program. She has given gifts to the people at the
nursing home and has helped with the food drive for the Kaplan Food Bank. Reagan
plays many sports like basketball, softball, and gymnastics. She also says that her
parents play a crucial role in her life. She says they are always there when she participates in activities. Reagan said that they teach her to strive to be her best and to do
good in life.
