After May half term we will continue our topic on Ancient Greece with a
different focus on ‘Grand Designs’ and ‘What a performance!’
The topics in the blue boxes will be taught separate to our topic ‘Greece is the
word’.
Science:
Science will be taught in a block.
 We will finish our topic with an
experiment on Material Properties.
 We will start our new topic on
Ferocious Forces. Children will
learn about the different types of
forces. They will learn that water
exerts an upwards force called
upthrust and gravity is the ‘pull’ of
earth on objects.
French:
The children will continue to develop a
basic vocabulary & confidence in speaking
French.


PSHCE:
We will continue ‘God the Great Provider’ this
half term. Thank you for completing at home
too, this will continue more regularly.
Our new SEAL topic is Changes which the
children will learn about in Collective Worship.
PE and Music:
Our PE unit with Miss Walls for this half term is
Athletics – this will link with the Ancient Olympics
which we will look more at after half term. Please
ensure your child has a full PE kit to participate.
Music will be taught by Mrs Bullock a talented music
specialist on a Monday afternoon too.
