• 20 balloons per team
• 20 word squares per team
• 1 chair per team
• 1 push pin per team
• 1 envelope per team
• 1 trash bag per team
• Removable color tape
Preparation:
Copy the verse on the reverse side of this page onto 20 pound
paper of any color for each team. Cut out each word square.
Individually roll up the word squares and insert them into the
balloons. Blow up and tie the balloons closed. Place balloons
into trash bag. Using removable color tape such as red duct
tape, create a start line at one end of the play area. Do the
same at the other end of the area to make the goal line.
Place a chair at the start line to mark each team line. Place
the push pin under the chair in an envelope. Put each team’s
balloon bag at the goal line.
Play:
Divide into equal teams. Choose a team leader. This person
is going to guide in putting the Bible Verse in the right order.
Have each team form a line behind the team leader at the
start line. At “go,” the team leader will run to the balloon
bag, select one balloon, run back to the start line and pop
the balloon by sitting on it or, if needed, using the push pin.
Once the paper is secured from the balloon, then the player
must put the paper and the push pin (if used) back into the
envelope. He/she will move to the end of the line and the
next person can repeat the process. Once all of the balloons
for the team are popped, then the team leader will empty the
envelope of word squares. The teammates will work together
to assemble the verse. The first team to finish with the verse
in the proper order is the winner.
