The Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006
(CATSI Act) is based on the Corporations Act 2001 (Corporations
Act) but in many important ways it is different. The CATSI Act
takes the needs and circumstances of Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people into consideration. This fact sheet looks at some
of the more important differences between the CATSI Act and the
Corporations Act.
