To ensure that you application is processed accurately and timely, review the
following checklist and make sure you have:
Completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
Submitted a complete application for admissions
Submitted a complete UNC Consolidated Application
Enclosed your Personal Statement
Enclosed all supporting materials, if applicable
Applications for the fall are due to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by July 30th and November 30th
for the spring.
UNC Consolidated Scholarship Requirements:
1. Must be a minority student (White, Native American, Hispanic)
2. Must be a resident of North Carolina in accordance with the Board of Governors’
regulations for determining residency for tuition purposes.
3. Must be enrolled for at least three (3) hours as a degree-seeking student (special students
are not eligible)
4. Must demonstrate Need
5. Notification of UNC Consolidated Scholarship awards are made by mail
Procedures for UNC Consolidated Scholarship Renewal:
1. Students must apply for renewal of UNC Consolidated Scholarship at the Office of
Scholarship and Student Aid
2. Students should check with the Office of Scholarship and Student Aid for any particular
deadlines that they may need to adhere to.
* The Office of Undergraduate Admissions only makes first time awards for the UNC
Consolidated Scholarship. These students consist of first time freshman, first-time transfer
students, and 2nd degree students. The UNC Consolidated Scholarship is awarded in the fall
on a yearly basis. Spring awards will be made according to the availability of funds. There
are no awards made for summer school.
