Omaha Gives! 2017 Challenge Funds
Prizes make gifts go further through Omaha Gives!, but here’s an opportunity to take the fundraising
even further! Nonprofits may raise additional dollars specific to their organization at its sole discretion
and effort – (“Challenge Funds”) – which will be reflected on the organization’s profile on
omahagives.org. By providing a Challenge Funds to support your favorite nonprofit, you give the
community more reason to get excited about giving during Omaha Gives!
THE CHALLENGE FUNDS FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MAY 1ST.
How Challenge Funds work:
1. Nonprofits are eligible to promote one Challenge Fund incentive on their profile during Omaha Gives!.
However, multiple donors can contribute to the Challenge Fund.
2. The minimum amount of the Challenge Fund is $1,000. Your organization can have more than one source
of funds to reach the minimum amount. If your organization raises less than $1,000, it can be given
directly through www.omahagives.org during the event, rather than used as Challenge Funds.
3. The availability of these funds will be promoted on your organization’s Omaha Gives! profile and
designated with an icon on the nonprofit search page.
4. Challenge Funds must be coordinated by the nonprofit and donor(s). The funds will be given directly to
the nonprofit and will not go through the online platform (www.omahagives.org) or the Omaha
Community Foundation. The Omaha Community Foundation does not serve as a facilitator in this
process.
5. Challenge Funds must be verified by the Omaha Community Foundation before the incentive will be
represented on your organization’s Omaha Gives! profile. To verify Challenge Funds, complete this form.
This signed document must be submitted through our online platform. Documents submitted via mail
or email will not be accepted.
