Welcome Aboard!
We’re excited to begin this journey with you through our online experience, whether you
access your accounts using a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone*. The purpose of this
guide is to provide you with an overview of important details regarding the many
features and improvements available, whether you recently joined the Credit Union or
have been a member-owner for many years. We’re certain you’ll enjoy all the
capabilities now offered through this enhanced experience.
Your understanding and appreciation of this new technology is important to us, so we’ve
taken steps to provide you with a comprehensive look at the features you’re most likely
to access along with some of the exciting additional functionality available in the new

Unified User Experience
Whether you’re accessing your accounts from a desktop computer at home or on the go
with your laptop, smartphone or tablet, our online banking experience will look the same
on any device.
Our free, specially designed smartphone apps for iPhone® and Android™ are available
at Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
We also heard your requests to offer a tablet-friendly version of our online banking
experience and we’re happy to oblige. Our Credit Union tablet banking app, specially
designed for iPad® and Android devices, allows you to securely and conveniently
manage just about all of your financial business with us. Whether you’re traveling, at
work, in school or just relaxing on your sofa, we’re giving you as many options as we
can to meet your needs.

The Log-In Process
Let’s get started.
Step One Go to AACreditUnion.org and go to the Online Banking Login window shown
below. You can also log in using your smartphone or tablet advice, also shown below.

When you log into online banking for the first time, your Log-in ID will be your nine-digit
account number with a Password of our choosing as long as it meets the requirements
below.




Password must be at least five (5) characters long.
Password can be no more than 25 characters long.
Password must contain a minimum of one (1) number.
Password must contain a minimum of one (1) uppercase character.
Step Two You will then be asked to select a target to receive a Secure Access Code
(SAC) to access the system for the first time. You can receive the code by email, text or
phone call. If you do not see your preferred option for receiving a Secure Access Code,
you can add additional options after logging in. See “Adding Additional Secure Access
Code Options” below for more information.
If you have problems receiving your Secure Access Code via email, you might
check your spam folder and ensure you can receive emails from
[email protected]. Once you receive your access code, enter it in the
Secure Access Code window.
Step Three Once your Secure Access Code is accepted, the Device Registration page
will ask if you’d like to register your device or not. If you are using your personal

computer to access online banking, you can register it to avoid having to receive an
Access Code on future logins. If you are on a public computer, you should click “Do Not
Register Device.” You will then be required to receive a new Access Code on all
subsequent logins on this non-registered device.
Please note, you will be prompted to receive a new Secure Access Code each time you
log in from a different device or log in using a different internet browser. Be advised, if
you regularly clear the cache on your home computer or laptop, it will delete the online
banking cookie, therefore prompting you to receive a new Secure Access Code on your
next login.
Step Four A page displaying your profile information should come up next. Review the
information and make sure all the required fields are complete. Then click “Submit
Profile” to go to the next step. Please note: Once you’ve logged in, you can update any
information that may be inaccurate by clicking “Settings” in the left-hand menu and
selecting “My Profile.”
Step Five You will then proceed on to two comprehensive disclosures. These are
required because of the additional products in the new online banking experience. Scroll
down through both and click “Accept” at the bottom of each.
Step Six You will then be taken to our new Online Banking homepage.
Adding Additional Secure Access Code Options
To add additional options to receive a Secure Access Code, whether by email, phone
call or text, click on “Settings” in the left-hand menu on the home page. Select “My
Profile” from the online banking homepage and click on “Other Information.”

The Homepage
Now that you’ve arrived at the homepage, take a moment to acquaint yourself with the
environment. Our 360-Degree Account View allows you to see all of your primary
accounts as well as all of your joint accounts. This feature will allow you to manage all
of your finances with one convenient login.
If you’re unsure which accounts are which, you can click on any of them to find out the
primary owner. You also have the option of nicknaming and reordering your accounts as
well. Simply click on “Settings” in the left-hand menu, select “Nicknames & Displays”
and follow the instructions to personalize your homepage.

You can also click on the “Manage
Users” feature under the “Settings”
menu, which will allow you to hide
accounts you do not want to see when
you log in. Once you select “Manage
Users,” you should see a box with your
name in it (see right). Click on the pencil
in the bottom right corner of the box.
This will bring up the “View User” page.
Click on the “Assign Rights” box on the
bottom right-hand side of the page.
Now you are on the “User Policy” page for your account (see below). Click on the
“Accounts” tab at the top of the chart and in the “View” column, click on the check mark
next to any account you do not wish to see. Once you’re done, click the “Save” button
on the top right of the page and return to the home menu. Once you’ve refreshed your
home page, the account(s) should be hidden. You can use the same process to unhide
accounts as well.

The Main Menu
In order to maintain a unified experience across all of your devices, we’ve moved the
menu to the left side of your homepage. It contains most of features you’re likely to use
in a typical online banking session. Read below for a basic overview of what is
contained and we’ll go into detail a little later on some of the features you’ll find here.
Home Click here to return to the main homepage.
Messages This secure message feature allows you to
ask us any questions you might have about your
accounts or your online banking experience as well as
receive responses from us.
Payments & Transfers Here you’ll find our various
payment options, including Transfer Funds, Transfer
to a Member, Pay Bills, Pay Cards & Loans, Pay
Other People, External Accounts and International
Wires. For more, see Page 8.
Manage My Finances Access our new Budget and
Finances feature (see Page 10), Turbo Tax®, My
Credit Score and Flagship Financial.
Apply For A Loan Find direct links to all loan
requests, including auto, credit cards, personal, home
equity and mortgage on any of your devices.
Open An Account Set up a Secondary Account or
sign up for our Prepaid Travel Card.
Account Services Stop Payments, order Check
Copies or reorder checks, access Statements &
Notices or Manage Beneficiaries.
Card Services Here you can request a limit increase,
transfer balances, authorize additional credit card
users and set travel notifications.
Settings Update your personal information, nickname
or change the order of your accounts, change security
preferences and select your background theme,
including large font or an American Airlines option.
Locations Search for Credit Union branches, shared
branches or ATM locations near you.

Payment Options
In addition to the many payment options available in our previous online banking
platform, we’ve added some exciting new options for which members have been asking.
You will find all of these options under “Payments & Transfers” in the left-hand menu on
the online banking home page. Those options, in the order they appear in the menu
include:
Transfer Funds: This allows you to easily transfer money between any of your existing
Credit Union checking or savings accounts, as well as any external accounts of other
financial institutions that you choose to add.
Transfer to a Member: This new feature allows you to transfer money to other Credit
Union member-owners.
Pay Cards & Loans: Make payments to any of your Credit Union loans, including credit
cards, auto or mortgages, but now those payments will occur in real time with no delay.

Pay Bills: Pay your electric, water, cable or any other bills you receive regularly. You
can also add new payees at any time.
Pay Bills Quick Pay: This new feature allows you to make immediate payments to bill
payees. See our Fee Schedule for applicable fees.
Pay Other People: This new person-to-person payment service, powered by
Popmoney®, allows you to make direct payments to people outside the Credit Union, for
example a babysitter, lawn service or a friend with whom you’re splitting a lunch tab.
The only information needed is their email address.
External Accounts: Add accounts you own at other financial institutions to your
financial profile to make them available for use in our Transfer Funds feature.
Domestic Wires: Set up electronic funds transfers to anyone in the United States. See
our Fee Schedule for applicable fees.

Budget and Finances Feature
Our budget and finances feature allows our member-owners to track their spending with
a fully interactive, real-time updating dashboard that will load all of your existing Credit
Union accounts while also allowing you to add accounts from other financial institutions.
To get started, click on “Manage My Finances” in the left-hand menu on the online
banking homepage and select “Budget and Finances.” A window will open internally
asking you to allow the program to update your Credit Union account information. Once
you’ve loaded all of your additional account data, this helpful new tool offers a number
of useful capabilities.
Set spending targets so you can track variable expenses, track your monthly cashflow,
establish savings goals, determine your net worth, arrange alerts when financial criteria
are met and much more.

Additional Features
We’re expecting some new features to come online in the coming months, until then,
here’s some we’d like you to know a little more about.
Activity Center
Located in the upper right menu of the online banking homepage is our new Activity
Center feature. This useful tool allows you to quickly access the history of single
transactions, recurring transactions or checks deposited online by searching your entire
online banking profile.
For additional security, you can also use this feature to approve pending transactions.
For example, if you’re making a large transfer that may exceed normal Credit Union
limitations, you’ll receive a message to approve the draft in the Activity Center. Then we
can confirm the legitimacy of the transaction in the Activity Center by sending you a new
Secure Access Code via phone or text to finalize the transfer.

Touch Authentication Security Login
For iPhone 6 users who currently enjoy the Touch Authentication log-in technology on
their smartphones, you can also use it to access your account via our newly updated
American Airlines Credit Union app. If you already have our current app, you’ll be
prompted to go to Apple’s App Store and download the new version. (Don’t forget to
delete the older version afterward.) Once you’ve logged in, click on “Menu” on the upper
left corner and select “Settings.” Click on “Security Preferences” and then turn the
button next to “Touch ID” to “On.” (See below.) You will then be required to re-enter
your User Name and Password and press your finger to the home button to take
advantage of this one-touch login to access our unified new mobile banking experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why did American Airlines Federal Credit Union change online banking?
We are upgrading our online banking system as part of our ongoing effort to provide
account holders with state-of-the art banking functionality, convenience and security.
Our new online banking system offers robust online banking functionality on all of your
devices, and will enable you to bank anytime, anywhere like never before.
Will I have access to my eStatement history?
Yes, you will also have access to up to 24 months of eStatements, if you are an
eStatement subscriber.
Is there an online resource for help?
Yes, there is a “help” button available in the menu, you can send and receive messages
in our new Messages feature within online banking and we also have a Live Chat
feature.
Are there minimum browser requirements for this new system?
We recommend updating your browser to the latest version available — not just to
ensure compatibility with the new online banking experience, but also to ensure that
your online banking is as secure as possible. Find out which browsers are compatible in
the helpful chart below.

I can’t access your site in my Internet Explorer browser, even though the version
is supposed to be compatible. Why isn’t it working?
You may have your “Compatibility View” turned on. In the pull-down menu under
“Tools,” select “Compatibility View Settings.” Make sure the box next to “Display all
websites in Compatibility View” is unchecked. Refresh your browser and try to access
the site again. If you’re still having issues, call us at (800) 533-0035.

While logging in, why did I receive an “UnconfiguredError” message?
This error (shown below) means that either your log-in ID or password was entered
incorrectly. Take a minute to make certain your log-in ID has no errors, doublecheck
your password and carefully input it again.
If you then receive the following message — “The log-in information does not match our
records. Please try again.” (shown on the following page) — then you are inadvertently
inputting an inaccurate log-in ID or password. Your safest bet is to click on the “Forgot
your password?” link, select a password that matches the criteria listed and follow that
process.
The password criteria is as follows:




Password must be at least five (5) characters long.
Password can be no more than 25 characters long.
Password must contain a minimum of one (1) number.
Password must contain a minimum of one (1) uppercase character.
If you’re certain your log-in ID and password are correct, or that you mistakenly input an
error on one of your earlier attempts, you can try again, however, if it is inaccurate, you
may lock yourself out.
It says I’m locked out, what do I do now?
For security purposes, if you input your information inaccurately three times in a row,
you will receive an error message reading, “This Log-In ID is currently locked out.
Please contact your financial institution to reset your password.” (See the following

page.) At this point, you will need to contact us at (800) 533-0035 and have someone
unlock your account and reset your password. Our Member Advocacy Center’s hours
are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST weekdays, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays, and we can unlock you
during those hours.
Can I use this on my phone/tablet?
Absolutely! Our new online banking system will provide you the ability to bank anytime,
anywhere, from any device — conveniently and securely. You can download the app on
any Android™ or Apple® device, and it will provide a consistent experience with banking
from your desktop. If you already have our current app, you will be prompted to
download the new one. Once you’ve done so, don’t forget to delete the older version. If
you’re on a platform that isn’t Android or Apple, you can always access online banking
via your HTML5-compatible mobile browser.

What is a unified experience?
A unified experience simply means that the look and feel of your online banking is
consistent on all of your devices. It does not mean that the exact same features and
functions are available on every device. It is intended to improve your experience by
making navigation simple and familiar regardless of device.

How do I contact you if I have questions about the new online banking
experience?
We have multiple ways you can contact us for help. You can call our Member Advocacy
Center (MAC) at (800) 533-0035 and follow the prompts until you are asked if you have
an Online Banking question. The MAC hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST weekdays,
7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. If you are logged into online banking, you can send us secure
messages through the “Messages” link in the left-hand menu or you can click on “Live
Chat” in the right-hand menu. Hours for both are the same as the MAC, though both will
be closed Sunday. You can also reach us on Facebook and Twitter.
