Writing Practice
You will have to write 2 letters. Your answer to each of the two questions should be
written entirely in Spanish and should contain a minimum of 45 words.
Place names and brand names written in Spanish count as one word. Contractions are
counted as one word. Salutations, closings and commonly used abbreviations are not
included in the word count. Numbers, unless written as words, and names of people do not
count as words. Be sure that you have satisfied the purpose of the task. The sentence
structure and/or expressions used should be connected logically and demonstrate a wide
range of vocabulary with minimal repetition.
1a. You are looking for a pen-pal in a Spanish-speaking country. Write an introductory
letter describing yourself. You may wish to include:

A description of your personality

1b. You have a pen pal in a Spanish speaking country. You are on vacation and have gone to
meet him/her. Write a letter to your Spanish teacher describing how you and your pen pal

Your interests and preferences for leisure activities
Your preferences for various celebrities
What languages you speak
