UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga routine religious gathering

Medicine (FKH) UNAIR, Wednesday, October 27, and the sermon
was delivered by Ustad Prof. Dr. KH. Muhammad Ali Aziz, M.Ag.
In his sermon, The professor of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya
explained some points on the importance of hijrah. But before

Ustad Ali Aziz continued the verse which says that people who

that smart people are those who remember Allah anytime.
“Remembering Allah SWT anytime means that they remember the
boundaries of God’s will and prohibition on everything, and
always pray anytime,” he said. “This is hijrah. Who never
starts anything with prayers, should hijrah and starts
everything with prayers,” he added.
There was Director of Human Resources UNAIR, Dr. Purnawan
Basundoro, M.Hum representing UNAIR Rector. In his address,
Purnawan stated that the routine gathering was done to gain
knowledge.
“Through this gathering, hopefully our knowledge expanded. If
it is expanded then we should do more good deeds,” he said.
The lecturer of Historical Studies UNAIR also stated that the
topic was related to Islamic New Year in order to learn the
importance of the Prophet’s Hijrah process.
“It an important momentum. How great we can learn lessons from
life. Struggle to the point of our end. When we hit the
border, let’s hijrah. In modern context, let’s work as hard as
we can. We don’t have to hijrah physically but mentally it’s a
must. Such as hijrah from laziness to betterment,” said
