A Dr. Seuss Filled
Book Week!
We had a “Seuss-tastic” Book Week this year! As always it was a busy week
filled with Book Browsing, D.E.A.R time (Drop Everything And Read), D.E.A.L
time (Drop Everything And Listen), visits to other classes to read books and of
course lots of Dr. Seuss activities! Dr. Seuss has many famous quotes that were
displayed around the school. St. Paul’s has decided to adopt one of our
favourite Dr. Seuss quotes:
Clifford popped in for his annual visit to Junior Infants and Senior Infants,
where he had lots of fun singing, dancing, playing and reading with the
children. We had a lovely end to the week with dress up day on Friday where
the school was taken over by Cat in the Hats, Things 1 and Things 2 and
many other book characters!
As with previous years the Book Fair was a huge success and the school now
has €4,500 to spend on books! This will go towards books for the main
library, the class libraries and individual readers for the children.
