Dr. Benny Zeevi - Managing General Partner DFJ Tel Aviv Venture Partners, Co – Chairperson of
Israel Advanced Technology Industries
Dr. Benny Zeevi is a Managing General Partner in DFJ Tamir Fishman Venture and DFJ Tel Aviv Venture
Partners and leads the fund Life Science and Cleantech investments.
Dr. Zeevi is a physician specialized in interventional pediatric cardiology. Prior to joining DFJ TFV in
2003, Dr. Zeevi was the Vice President Business Development & Medical Director of Card Guard AG
since 1998. Dr. Zeevi is very active in the Israel life science industry and is the Co- Chairperson of Israel
Advanced Technology Industries (IATI). In 2012 Dr. Zeevi was the Co-Chairman of the ILSI Biomed
Conference.
Dr. Zeevi is the Founder and Co Director of an Executive Program for Biotechnology and Medical
Device Entrepreneurs and Managers, based on International faculty, at the Faculty of Management of
Tel-Aviv University (http://biomedmanagement.tau.ac.il) and serves on the advisory board of the
Faculty of Management at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Zeevi is the chairman of the boards of MGVS, V
Wave and ReLeaf, and serves on the board of Kaiima.
Dr. Zeevi has an extensive background in product development, marketing and strategy formulations
in Life Science technology companies. Dr. Zeevi served, among other capacities, as a professional
advisor to several life science companies and venture capital funds while he was still practicing
medicine. Dr. Zeevi is a certified Pediatric Cardiologist. From 1990-1998 he was Director of Pediatric
Catheterization Unit, Schneider Children's Medical Center in Israel. Dr. Zeevi was a fellow and a
visiting Professor and part-time clinical staff at the Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in
Boston. His credentials include over 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles, in addition to various
chapters in textbooks and invited reviews and editorials in pediatric cardiology journals. His
contributions have been acknowledged in 1993, when he received the Liberman prize for significant
contributions to the evaluation and treatment of children with congenital heart disease. Dr. Zeevi
holds a M.D. degree (Magna Cum Laude) from the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University,
Israel.

Dr. Ilan Cohn, Senior Partner, Reinhold Cohn Group
Dr. Ilan Cohn, has many years of experience in the field of patents and other intellectual property
fields. In the course of his professional career Ilan gained significant experience and expertise in
turning intellectual property assets, particularly patents into a first tier asset. In addition to assisting
entrepreneurs, investors and companies in dealing with patent matters, Ilan also advises and prepares
a custom road map for building up and making use of intellectual property as strategic assets. He was
involved in the establishment of intellectual property based companies in general, and in the field of
life sciences, in particular, steering the build-up of the intellectual property of such companies into
assets that yield profits to investors and shareholders. He is a member of the Board of Directors of a
number of several such companies and was also a member of the investment committees of venture
capital funds and technological incubators.
Dr. Ilan Cohn, manages the life sciences and chemistry department of Reinhold Cohn & Partners. In
addition, Ilan lectures on intellectual property matters in Israeli academic forums and other forums.
Ilan has been personally recommended for several years in leading international guides, such as IAM
Strategy 250, European Legal Experts , Who's Who Legal (Patents) and the Chambers & Partners
Global guide. In Chambers guide of 2011 they quote clients who said he "has "vast experience
and international knowledge of IP."
Gideon Mantel, CEO & Co-Founder
With two decades of experience in an industry built on large scale data, Gideon envisioned how big
data technology could impact the healthcare domain, the last Internet frontier. His track record as an
entrepreneur enabled him to turn this abstract concept into a reality. Prior to Treato, Gideon cofounded Commtouch Ltd. and was on the executive team for 20 years. As chairman and CEO, Gideon
successfully led Commtouch to the leadership position in the outsourced global email and messaging
services industry. Before Commtouch, Gideon was co-founder and CEO of Financial Leverages Ltd. and
also served as the CFO of the Gali Group, one of Israel's largest consumer product companies. Gideon
received a BA in Political Science and an MBA in Finance from Tel Aviv University.
