Description
For the in-clinic treatment of photo-aging,
wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, post inflammatory
pigmentation and acne. Combines TCA, and
the anti-aging benefits of 5 natural berries—
cranberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and
bearberry. These potent berries are abundant
with ellagic acid—a natural tyrosinase inhibitor
that in combination with licorice extract and
L-Ascrobic Acid, gently modify and brighten
epidermal pigmentary disorders as they
increase cell turnover and collagen production.

on Accutane, clients who have their homecare
preparation, clients who intend to tan, clients who
are undergoing cancer therapy.
Series: 6—8 with one to two weeks apart,

Directions
After application of appropriate pretreatment
solution, apply Cell Protection Balm over lips,
around naso-labial fold and on corner of eyes.
Pour approximately 1/2 tsp. 5 Berry Pigment
Control Peel into a small dish. Saturate either
cotton pad or gauze in product. Beginning by
working product across the forehead, down
the sides of the face, over chin, upper lip, nose
and finish over cheeks. Follow GlyMed Plus

Key Ingredients
Trichloroacetic Acid (7%):
In higher percentages, TCA provides an
aggressive medium chemical exfoliation
to
reduce
melasma,
post-inflammatory
hyperpigmentation, sun damage, superficial
blemishes, and post-acne scars.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C):
Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, has skin
lightening effects and is essential for rebuilding
collagen.
Licorice Root Extract:
An effective skin lightener more potent than
kojic acid or vitamin C.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this peel be used to boost or enhance
other peels?
5-Berry Pigment Control Peel can either be
used alone, applied in layers or it can be used
to “boost” other peels during the treatment.
However, when first using the 5 Berry Pigment
Control Peel, it is not recommended to use
additional AHA peels with it. After assessing
the client’s skin and tolerance, multiple peels
may be used during future appointments.
How much visible peeling will my client see
with 7% TCA?
5-Berry Pigment Control Peel contains 7% TCA
and was not intended to achieve the medium
depth peel available with 15%. However, for
clients who are not prepared for the “down time”
that accompanies this aggressive treatment,
5-Berry Pigment Control will provide a more
manageable result.

First, the five berries included in this treatment
are natural anti-inflammatories and are
abundant with arbutin. In addition, the
licorice root extract has been shown to be a
more potent lightener than kojic acid. Finally,
the 7% TCA in this treatment will provide
some subtle exfoliation of topical, transient
hyperpigmentation.
