How to find us: The Globe Theatre Templeton Studio Cabaret is located on the second floor of
the Globe Theatre building located in downtown Regina.
Loading Access
The Templeton Studio Cabaret is located on the second floor of the Globe Theatre building and may be
accessed through the main glass doors or through the double door in the mall. There is no freight
elevator. Elevator size is 4’8” X 5’ X 7’ tall. Any piece that is bigger than those dimensions must be
taken up the stairs. Large pieces can come in through the rolling metal door on the main floor. There is
no loading dock. Street parking is available or there are a variety of parking lots located all throughout
the downtown core. Street parking is $2/hour with a 2 hour max. Most parking lots are $18/day.

STAGE INFORMATION
Stage Floor
The Dimensions of the space are 44’12” to 50’ wide and 33’5” long. There are two pillars
situated in the room that leads to sight line issues. Please refer to the ground plan.
The stage floor is masonite painted matte black. The floor is not sprung. The floor may be
painted at a cost of paint and labour for restore, please ask the Director of Production for details. You
may NOT screw or nail into the floor or walls*.
There are no trap doors in this theatre.
* There are some creative solutions for this problem, the use of removable 3M hooks or setting up
Unistrut frames around any pieces that might need to be screwed down.
Seating
The occupancy rating for this space is 145 people including cast and crew
The seating consists of risers and chairs. There are 12 risers (4’ X 8’) with kick rails, up to 75
chairs, railings and assorted legs in 7” increments.

Rigging

The Templeton Studio grid is rated for 20lbs per linear foot, static load ONLY. All needs must be
accommodated within the bounds of theatrical and Globe Theatre’s Health and Safety practices/policy.
The grid height is 12’ 3” and is consistent throughout the space. Please note that the duct work
is BELOW the lighting grid. The height of the duct work is 10’4”.
There are two ladders for use in the space, both 8’ tall
Globe Theatre Health and Safety Policies must be adhered to at all times
There is a small selection of masking drapery available for your show which will be hung by
Globe Staff. It consists of the following:

Dressing Rooms
The Templeton Studio Cabaret has one devoted dressing room. The needs of the show will
dictate on which dressing room will be available. There are two dressing rooms on the Cabaret side.
One can hold up to 4 people and one can hold up to 6 to 8 people. The green room area is shared with
the Mainstage. There are both Male and Female bathrooms with showers that are also shared with the
Mainstage.
You do have access to a washer and dryer. Please see Studio Technician for more details about
getting access to these facilities.

LIGHTING AND SOUND
Booth Location

There is no fixed closed in booth. The lighting, sound and stage management booth is mobile
and can be set up anywhere inside the room.

 16 - 2.4k dimmers (dimmers are located in the Mainstage lighting booth).
o There is no direct access to the dimmers from the Templeton Studio Cabaret
o The dimmers are accessed by four twist lock plug boxes, with four plugs in each. These
boxes, located in the cabaret lighting grid, are movable to help with cabling issues.
o The dimmer numbers for patching purposes are 117 – 132. Dimmers 133 - 135 are the
house lights.

The only DMX plug is located by the dressing room door.
Track lighting (House lighting) - The house lights are also controlled by the wall station outside, in the
case of a difference between wall station and the board boards house level; the highest setting takes
precedence. The House lights can be moved to any location along the tracks in the grid. Please see
Studio Technician for more details about house lights.
There are four u-ground wall outlets mounted in the room. Two are located on the wall where the
survey entrance is and two on the wall where the dressing room entrance is.
