MAIDWELL NEWS www.maidwellprimary.net YOUR DAILY FAVOURITE NEWSPAPER Since 2015 George’s Amazing Ghostly Adventure By Leo J, Chief Journalist Knocking on the door, our fearless adventurer screamed when he saw that the house owners were hungry skeletons, whose favourite meal was little boy with all the herbs and spices possible. George, panicking, protested that fruit was much tastier. The bony creatures tried to eat the fruit but it kept falling out. George took this opportunity to escape. Last Saturday night, local citizen George G, 10 years old, set off in search of ghosts living at the local mansion. He arrived an hour later, having experienced a small problem on the way. His journey towards discovering phantoms’ favourite fruit would have only taken half an hour to cross the town to the mansion, but his friend invited him to have some juice and snacks, holding him up for another half an hour. Finally arriving, George chained his scooter to a convenient fence and walked up the rough driveway to the ominous house, in search of some form of spiritual life. T:george news LJ.pub Next, George met a witch with a wart on her nose who threatened to eat him. The witch hovered him over the pot of stew and some lemons and limes fell out of is backpack. The witch tried the stew and, as it was supremely sour from the fruit, spat it out and let George go. He took this opportunity to escape. Finally George met a gaggle of ghosts who were weeping seethrough tears. After a quick confrontation, he found out the ghosts were living in constant dread of the other creepy creatures in the mansion bumping into them, as they were almost see-through. Our cunning explorer quickly thought up a plan that involved the remaining fruits in his back- pack. The ghosts stood stock still as the coloured fruits came flying towards them, decorating them with an array of colours ranging from the brightest orange to the deepest purple. To this day the ghosts have always been seen. “George saved our lives,” one of the ghosts was quoted as saying. “We no longer suffer from itchy rashes from the werewolves’ fur. I told them to wash it, but they said they wouldn’t be proper werewolves if they took one!” George, after being asked, said, “I enjoyed my voyage very much and I’m going to visit next Halloween.” The witch, when she was asked to comment, said “George may have escaped me, but now I’ll have to eat you!” We have not heard from our interviewee since.
