Actor Bio:
Fredericka was born into a beautifully eccentric family (mother is a vocalist/musician/songwriter/educator, father is a
journalist/PhD/musician/songwriter/martial artist and instructor/playwright). She began performing at age 3 (unless you count memorizing
commercials and billboards at 2). When she was 5 she was the youngest on-air radio personality with her "Children's Corner" segment on her
father's radio show. She was a featured guest and reporter on location for the syndicated television show "Kidsworld", she sung for and spoke
in front of such groups as the NAACP, LA RAZA and The Jaycees. Fredericka is a "quadruple threat" (actor, singer, dancer, songwriter)
whose performances run the gamut (yep, gamut) from television/film to musical theatre, legit theatre and pop/rock. This rising star is the
recipient of the 2007 NAACP Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is also one of the creators of as well as a member of an
incredibly unique sketch variety singing group called "CELEBRI-TEASE," which is currently in discussions for a major network development
deal and she just wrapped the first season of "Paradise Drive", an semi-scripted improv series for Comedy Central and the Internet. Additional
TV and film credits include guest spots on Fox TV's Head Cases, General Hospital and Nickelodeon's All That, as well as the festival-winning
films Massage Therapy and El Mariachi Negro, where she portrayed Heidi, a feisty bilingual Bolivian. Some of her theatre experience includes
The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, Body Language: The Musical, Sheba, Little Shop of Horrors and Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat. Fredericka is a spokesperson for Viacom, having filmed a series of PSA's about HIV and AIDS awareness and she
recently completed national commercial campaigns for Toyota and Southwest Airlines. She has performed in such exotic locales as India,
Chile, Hawaii and Japan and has shared the stage with such music legends as Stevie Wonder, Cheryl Lynn, Smokey Robinson and Ollie
Woodson (former Temptation). She has also performed with rock/metal sensation Marilyn Manson, pop star Bosson, and R&B great Dave
Hollister....much much more to come, so look out for this shining light!
